Has anyone else ordered shocks from MRT? How long did it take to receive them? MRT, Do you supply a tracking number when item is shipped?

Little over a week to get my 5100 fronts to MN from Las Vegas, and yes tracking numbers were supplied.

I ordered a 2inch rear block as well and they must of had to make it cause I don't have it yet.

That's exactly the time frame I'm on despite being told things would ship the same time. Shocks are in hand but now my blocks aren't supposed to show up until this friday- making it almost 2 weeks. UPS showed a label being made for days with no pickup.

I think having MRT on board is certainly helpful, they've answered lots of member questions. For the most part I've gotten quick responses (mainly via PM) and the pricing was certainly good.

** should be noted that they are not open for business on the weekends, at all. So no emails, tracking, etc get sent out.

They also do text. I think the # is in their market place thread. 702-250-9013

I tried calling earlier and it said the number was not in service. I will try a text, maybe I dialed it wrong. Thanks.

Hey Spencer,

Tracking is normally emailed within a few days of your order being processed. Our email is [email protected] (A lot of people put .com and that wont work, yet).

If you ordered the 26th, most likely youll receive tracking tonight around 5-6PM PST.

As always, if you have a order question you can PM us as well.

Thanks for posting that. We do text during normal business hours! Or call us at that number. Or email us! Or Pm US, or Message us on facebook.

Got your text Corey, you ordered with Spencer which means your shocks should be shipping out today via Bilstein. Youll see them before the weekend.

Thanks!

For anyone that has a Denali and screwed up by buying Bilstein 5100s only to realize they don't fit with the magentic ride struts. Like i did...

Here is what the rough country (i know poor quality) 2.5" leveling kit for the magneride looks like. I'm pretty happy with the results.

I want to stiffen up my rear suspension a bit. I tow a 3000 lb travel trailer with a 300 lb tounge weight. I don't think I need to go all the way to a wd hitch or air bags, but would the 4600s in the rear help?

Shocks will help the help the ride but won't help with load. You will need air bags, add a leaf or an overload spring set. Personally I would go air bags as they affect the ride the least.

And the fact they are adjustable is a big advantage. Inflate when needed and dial in the smoothest ride for the weight.

Thanks for the responses. I think I am going to start with the 4600s and add the air bags down the road.

    • Are you going to take long trips in it?  If so, try out the seats in the various trims. For me the lower trim level seats were not comfortable.
    • I have a 2016 that I bought new and still own. I'm around 129,000 miles now. The biggest problem was a transmission failure about 2 years ago around 95000 miles. No warning, just failed while driving down a back road. A reman GM transmission installed and it's been fine ever since. A few other minor problems along the way. I am in no hurry to replace it. It's been paid off long ago and do plan on driving this as long as I can.   I will admit I am leery about all the additional electronics in the newer models and feel that it is just more potential problems. I think there's actually more than I would have wanted in this 2016 but so far so good. I think even if something major like lifter failure happened, it would still be cheaper to at worst, drop a new engine in than buy a new vehicle.
    • I’ve own several successful businesses. I’ve bought homes and lived in different states. I’d witness several generations buy homes and survive in different economic circumstances. You get awful sippy when people have different experiences than you do. You live a life. I’ve lived a life. It seems our experience has been different. You can point out generalized statistics. Some people learn how to thrive when the odds are against them. Living in different states does make a difference in a persons quality of life and economic outcomes and opportunities. That’s a fact Jack. It’s my truth, my life. Hard work and long hours the right environment made my families life easier. And yes moving to a different state increased the odds of that happening. Stats are generalized. People who thrive don’t make excuses. They beat the odds. Others get mad and point to those statistics. I guess that’s you. My post pointed out how you helped people beat the odds. Somehow your panties got in a wad. Go figure.
    • Good question, I don't remember for sure but I believe it was the HD. I will check and get back to you.
