Hey guys,

Anyone else having an issue connecting their Pandora from Intellink? I have Pandora One on my phone, and the phone is bluetoothed. Still says check connected device.

Thanks for any guidance

Mine works fine. There is a short delay when starting it but works well. Do all other Bluetooth features pair up OK with your phone?

if you have an iphone I think you need to use the cable. That's how mine is. Even tho the phone is paired it will not even attempt to pandora without the usb cable, and.. if I start playing and disconnect the cable mylink goes back to check cable.

Yeah they work great.

Ill try that with the cable. Worth a shot

Darkfox1 is right. It's an iPhone problem. The manual even states that the iPhone requires a cable for Pandora. You can use Pandora with Bluetooth and an iPhone, but you have to start Pandora on the phone first and then turn on the Intellilink Pandora app. It's just one more reason my next phone will be a Galaxy S6.

That's a kick in the pants. It's exactly what Ive been doing, but makes it a pain when the inevitable skip has to come. Any word if the iphone 6 is better than the 5 for it?

Iphone 6 + does not connect directly either, but I think it's probably an ios8 issue, not a hardware issue.

Any iPhone needs to be connected to use the Pandora app. Has something to do with Apple API's. Its a type of "lockdown" on their programming. Unlike Android devices that do not need a cable, their programming is Open Source.

Seems like a major handicap huh? I mean GM goes out of their way to make streaming audio over bluetooth a thing and "iphone supports that" but.. it doesn't.

*sigh* It's not so bad though, the cable reaches my windshield mount and I use it to charge the phone anyway.

I dont use panroda that often myself. I pay for xm radio. I've found a lot of great groups on bluegrass junction on there(and added them to my pandora )

You can stream Pandora over Bluetooth from an iPhone, you just cant use the built in Pandora app on the truck, you have to be in the 'media' input mode on the trucks radio. But you wont have the thumbs up/thumbs down and artist artwork on your screen.

In order to use the built in Pandora app on the truck, with an iPhone you need to connect the cord.

Thats strange because I can play pandora without the cord plugged in ?

Yes you can, but try to start Pandora from the Intellilink app with an iPhone without a cord. I'll bet you can't.

FYI: The left hand channel up/down steering wheel button will skip pandora, over Bluetooth and not connected via USB and I'm still on an iPhone 4 with iOS 6. Yah yah! I like the old school dark look, but the iPhone 6 is in the works next month and I'll have to get used to the "new" look. Also tried a friends iPhone 6 and it still has to be tethered to use the GMC pandora app. Android wins in this category.
