Some Good GMEPP Extended Warranty Info

Best price I could find, so if anyone is interested in a GMEPP warranty, give them a call. Very good to work with.

What I found out is that the warranty does start on the day you purchase it and your mileage is recorded at that time, so in my case the warranty started yesterday with 60 miles on the odo.

 

I went with a 84 mo./56k mile warranty as I won't exceed 8k per year. Warranty expires in 2022 or 56,060 miles.

 

I asked about waiting until just shy of the 3/36 running out and what the cost difference would be-was told that at that time I would only be able to get a 48 month warranty and the cost would be ALOT more.

 

(Maybe a ploy to get me on the spot, maybe it's true, maybe not)

 

I was able to negotiate down some from the quoted price and satisfied with the purchase.

 

Some still will claim it to be a waste of money, which is fine, it's a gamble either way.

 

I plan on keeping this truck for quite some time and if for some reason I don't, if within the 84 mos., the truck has a transferrable warranty which won't hurt the resale.

What did it cost? I'm saying what you did was wrong or telling you what you should do with your truck, but from I'm getting from your post you paid x amount of money to get 20k more miles and 4 years of warranty?

Correct, I will have a $0 deductible warranty for 4 more years and 20k miles after the original 3/36.

Cost me $1350.

 

If I were to have waited to purchase the same length of time/mileage near the end of the original 3/3 it could be at least double if not more?

 

Looking at all of the components on these new trucks, wouldn't take much to recoup the price of the warranty.

Hey guys, looking at this for my 2016

 

GMPP General Motors Protection Plan 84/100,000 $3,700<- seems really high.

 

Truck is 2 years 3 months old this month with 6,500 miles (that's not a typo, I dont drive it much 6,500 miles). 

 

Any help is appreciated
