LawmanSS Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Agree, too soon. Makes those of us with "new" 14's and 15's feel like our trucks are suddenly dated. That being said, this update to the Silvy is gorgeous. I love it.
raym0016 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Looks good to me. As someone who will be buying at the end of this year, I may be tempted by the redesign. I doubt I will be able to get a great deal on it like I would a '15 though.
JRaschke11 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 All I really care about is whether or not we can find a way to get the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay in to the 2014/2015.
JCBman Posted July 13, 2015 Author Posted July 13, 2015 Agreed, I'd like the apple play....and a front end exchange. It will probably have push button start as well. Makes my 14 feel old for sure. Was planning on keeping it for 7 yrs at least.
arkenzo Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 What's the big deal guys? A lot of people switched from 2014 to 2015's for the slightest of the changes, here is your chance to switch again...2014 to 2015, 2015 now to a 2016 lol.. Anyways the front-end looks nice. along with the headlights...Might jump ship from my 2014 we will see
ajm11 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I read on Leftlane news that the 5.3 will also be availble with the 8 speed transmission.
Clocked92 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I love the look. Its not much of a redesign at all. just a new front end and a couple tech items. I'm sure in 2-3 years there will be a complete redesign again.
EaZ8 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 cant please everyone... "why doesnt the 14/15 have led strips and all the lighting sucks"....fast forward 12 months " why did they redesign the truck again.." and then wait for "why arent the new lights a plug and play on the 14/15" and "why arent thee new lights standard on all models." not sure how i feel about those headlights...the LED strips look kinda out of place. wonder what the sierra will look like.
Silverado-Hareek Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I guess I'm alone here but I hate it. What a weak looking front end. And what is it with GM making headlights smaller and smaller? The Camarro's lights look like eyes trying to peak through a set of miniblinds and I guess the Silverado is now following suit? I dunno maybe it will grow on me with time but so far, this picture coupled with the 8 speed tranny makes me REALLY glad I bought a 2014 with a 6 speed.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Newell33 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Definitely the best looking truck on the road. I hope they spent a little more time working to correct supplier and other issues with the 2014/2015 models.
Silverado-Hareek Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Doesn't look like you can remove the air dam either and still have a clean looking bumper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JRaschke11 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 When they say "an updated Chevy MyLink touch screen" I wonder what they mean. More responsive or higher resolution maybe. It bothers me that the screen isn't HD already. I think the screen was already updated from 14 to 15 wasn't it. Resistive vs capacitive. I've never understood why automakers literally don't just like stick a Nexus or Galaxy tab in the dash and have it run everything.
