Looks nice - much better than the current Silverado. I wonder what other tech features they've added? Push-Button start?

Anybody know when will the new Sierra be revealled?

This.

I wonder what the new Sierra will look like. Also, I'm glad they are bringing the 8 spd to the 5.3, it will greatly help it out when paired against the competitors.

Looks like I'm one of the only ones to say that from this one picture, I'm not a fan. The LED portions of the headlights look out of place and look like an aftermarket part. I wonder if there's a reason other than looks why the fog lights now sit vertically. Also, this is a Z71 preview which has painted bumper. I'm all about the chrome so I'd like to see a 2016 LTZ edition before I cast my vote.

The Apple Carplay would be nice but the previews of that system show your device needs to be plugged in to really take advantage of it which I rarely do. Leaving it Bluetooth the Carplay system should give similar features to what is out now.

I'd have an interest in the 8 Speed transmission if the gas mileage shows more than 1 or 2 MPG improvement.

I like it a lot. Not a big fan of all the chrome on my 2014 front end. I would love push button start too.

The front end looks very similar to the current Sierra as far as the main lines and the grill go. Especially the way the bumper meets the grill....those lines make it look like they changed the Silverado to be more like the Sierra. I bet GM is moving back toward the old ways of the trucks looking more identical and we can expect the Sierra to be very close to this Silverado in design. Probably just the logo and maybe the main colored bar across the center of the grill will be different.

Blah, I like the current front end more. I was considering buying the lights, bumper and converting mine but I'll keep mine the way it is. This is like in 03 when Chevy switched to the slanted lights... I wasn't a fan of that switch either..

I definitely see some 'Sierra Inspiration' in this design which I find to be odd figuring the Silverado outsells it by more than just a few thousand. Sure the Sierra is a little more expensive but when a customer finances/leases that difference can't be much which makes me believe the Silverado outsells by looks to some degree.

I do not see Sierra lines across the front. I see more alignment with the Colorado, which all mfg's attempt to uniquely match design cues.

That said, with the Canyon being a small version of the Sierra, maybe they are not going to mess with it much?

I'm not sure about anyone else, but my phone is plugged into the cigarette lighter 95% of the time to charge it. Plugging it into a center console USB to enable Apple Car Play would be no issue.

I think it's no issue if you have the center console with USB ports below the HVAC controls. If you have a front bench seat like me, it's a pain every time you open the armrest to make sure the wire for your phone is resting in the cut-outs before closing the lid so you don't crimp the wire. That's why I don't really use my USB ports. I just plug my phone into the cigarette outlet under the dash.

Leave the cord plugged in resting into the cutouts? This is what I do and its never an issue. But then again I don't get into my center console all the time. I have three MFI Apple cords that stay where I place them at, bedside, truck, office.

Anways; I figure the new Sierra will get debuted sometime soon. I can't imagine they would update the Silverado and not Sierra.

I have the center console but on a $50k truck I'd hate to see wires hanging out all the time even if it's just for my phone. I use an SD card for my music, the Bluetooth for text notifications and phone calls. The 'Siri Eyes Free' works great for me. Don't get me wrong, I do keep the USB in my glove box in case my phone dies.

Yeah the problem is I'm always going in and out of the console. But you're right if I wasn't doing that, I could just leave the wires alone in the cutouts and there wouldn't be an issue. Either way under the current 2014 mylink system, plugging the phone in doesn't give much of an advantage. It makes way more sense to do it with Apple CarPlay

WTI futures <> current 4-7% inflation and national average gas price over $4.00/gallon.   The spot price, at delivery, is currently $87-$95/barrel which is why gas prices remain high.   Edit: oH mY gOd mEnTaL BrEaKdoWn In tHE pOsT aBOve mInE. • He does, actually. In another unrelated video he mentions the president called him in the middle of the night to relay some information on a cause (religious based) that he's invested in. Glenn expressed concern that another leftist administration could wield too much power with some procedure the Pentagon was using, classifying certain religions a certain way. Being that he is LDS (Latter Day Saints), he gets hate all the time from ALL over the political spectrum, so he's invested in this. Trump called him back at 5AM to tell him he had made some changes to that classification.   So, yes, they are and have been in contact regularly since the start of the administration. Glenn, of course, always asks his permission before discussing anything on the air.   I already spent an hour or more just searching for these videos. I may have my numbers wrong - I'm not a numbers guy. It may have been a MILLION barrels, not 1.5. The point is, our President, by his actions, gives a crap about America, and US - this is completely OPPOSITE the actions of the prior administration who projected hatred for anyone who wasn't following the left's edicts in lock-step.   Remember, they called January 6th an "Insurrection", when there were ZERO weapons among the crowd, undercover FBI agents agitating the crowd, along with paid leftists acting as aggressors, egging the crowd on in an attempt to whip everyone into a frenzy. It's all been proven.  Pelosi refused Trumps request for more National Guard troops. This smells 100% like an inside job for those with critical thinking skills. Only a handful of guys in the crowd got wrapped up in that, thankfully, but EVERYONE was searched out based on cell phone data, and charges were brought against many. And 6 or so people were locked up and left in solitary confinement for YEARS with ZERO due process!! If you give the slightest crap about our Nation, REGARDLESS of your political leanings, this should frighten you to your core. This is what men suffered, bled, fought, and died against 250 years ago!   This has gone FAR BEYOND left vs. right. This is a  threat to America, and our way of life. This is PRECISELY why Trump, a BILLIONAIRE who could have chosen to take Melania and sit on some tropical island that he could afford to buy himself and RELAX, instead chose to run for office, get hate from literally every corner of the media, get ATTEMPTS on his LIFE constantly, and begin to repair some of the severe damage that's been done to this Great Nation.   I don't know why I bother wasting my precious time here. Everyone has their minds made up. They won't realize we all were correct until it's too late ... after they elect another tyrant that hates America to office (Obama), or another puppet whose administration is secretly running the show behind the scenes (Biden).
