I am frustrated that GM would change the design that drastic being that I purchased a 2015 4/20/2015. With that said I really think the new one looks badass. I really thought that my 2015 would look "new" for at least 5-6 years based on the previous generation.

for those with 4wd as I previously stated, and as I plan on doing, if you add a ranch hand bumper replacement with grill guard you shouldn't be able to tell too much..

hats off to GM I think the changes look really good. I really just wish they would have come out with this truck in 2014, or waited longer to release this drastic of a change for us poor bastards who just purchased.

This 2016 "truck" is ugly, just fugly. I'm not even being biased because I have a 2015, I genuinely just do not like this refreshed front end. It looks like a Colorado more than a Silverado now. Actually, it looks like a Colorado and a Sierra had a baby together...

You hit the nail on the head with that last part.

I just hope they don't ruin the looks of the Sierra, I'd like to trade up to a '16 for the rumored new gadgets. It won't be a Chevy though, that's for sure.

Beautiful truck. GM's designers are the better ones. No doubt.

But one more reason to keep my old beater.

Shorter warranty to encourage early trade ins and a redesign every couple of years...I don't wanna drive an "old" truck before the third oil change.

Blah, I like the current front end more. I was considering buying the lights, bumper and converting mine but I'll keep mine the way it is. This is like in 03 when Chevy switched to the slanted lights... I wasn't a fan of that switch either..

I agree

Looks like GM is getting back to the way they used to change their trucks appearance every 2-3 years like the did before. The 07-13 trucks pretty much were the same truck for 6 years Blah!! You can't please everybody I guess. I would like to see the GMC Sierras though.

I hope the 16 or 17 has the stuff my 15 Denali should have had and then I would def be trading up. People always resist change, I can't wait to see what they do for the Sierras. I love my 15 but always have felt it just needed a little more umpfff and was missing something, hard to describe. Like the engineers were just one thing away from making it truely great.

Attn gm... 67-72 silverado's where a big hit.. so where the 99-02 silverado's... so by going by statistics the 14-15 will be another front end that ranks among the best. Again this is just me. To each there own. Oh and my opinion on the 16 if it's gonna be like that.... YUCK!!!

Tell her you NEED the 8 speed that is more efficient by getting better mpg, which will save the family money. You only want to update to save money.

It is a bit of a stretch, but you have a couple of months to work up the detailed story.

LOL. well done.

not a fan...my 2015 is my first full size pickup and I'm very happy with the looks. i agree that i think its too soon to refresh the outside and the front end looks too sleek and smooth for a pickup...these are my initial thoughts, maybe ill change my mind when i see it in person

They ruined it, WTF!

But I have the solution :)

Buy 2016 Silverado, remove your front end and keep it in the garage! Buy 2015 front end :P

Praise the 2015 70s style :P

PS: gladly they only changed the front end otherwise I will buy 2015 model :)

I'm extremely disappointed, and seriously baffled at how some of you like the look of this. I truly think the 2014/2015 LTZ Z71s looks the BEST of any Silverado ever produced, ever. Everything was so square and 90 degree angles, I think trucks just look better when there isn't a lot of curves and "refined features". Like how GM trucks have square wheel wells and no one else does... I love that! Why is GM putting smaller headlights into everything? I don't get that.

*Sigh*. Hopefully when GM does a full re-design in another few years, they don't butcher it even more. The distinct quad headlights, horizontal fog lights and grilles are now all gone. What I LOVED about 2015 was that everything was very individual - Colorados looked distinct, Silverados and Sierras did also. The Canyon was a mini Sierra so that was one thing I wasn't happy about.

Oh well, we don't make the decisions. All I know is that I'm some happy I own a 2015..

Totally agree, I have 2012 and liked the 2014/2015 design because they successfully merged technology with Silverado's 70s style (Ovel fog lights - dual headlights). Now I'm very disappointed:( but thanks God it was only the front end so it is easy to swap back to 2015.
