"Best" Bunk Bed Travel Trailer with Outdoor kitchen setup?

My wife and I have been looking for the last year and a half for a Travel Trailer. We have been to several shows, and thought we found the "perfect" trailer, but we didn't have a Campsite locked in yet. Now that we do for next season, it's time to make a decision.

We know we would like to have an Outdoor Kitchen, a separate room for the Bunks, and a nice overall layout.

I'm not looking to spend more than $30k in real money, not worried about "list prices"...

We have been very happy with our Jayco so far, Jay Flight 32 BHDS. It has a slider door for the bunk room, one of the reasons we chose this model. Compared the Catalina, while it had a few features/ styles we liked also, felt the Jayco was a better choice.

The Jayco Jay Flight 32 IBTS (I think it is!) has a little more room, but only a curtain for the bunk room. But has a kitchen slide! Two concerns though with a kitchen slide from what I have read, and noticed on this model: Fridge in slides can use a fan mod to help the fridge work the most efficient, and last down the road longer, and the slide is very close to the awning! But a pool noodle, pipe insulation, or "roller kit" for a door or slide will help protect the awning.

Both have outdoor kitchens, and an entrance directly into the bathroom.

Sounds like you will be "parking" the tt on a permanent site, but it won't hurt to go with one of the better wdh systems with integrated sway in case you decide to travel once in a while. Reese Dual Cam, Reese SC, or Equal-I-Zer 4 way systems are very good systems for only a little more money than a basic system.

Being in Chicago you should be able to get at least 30% off the infamous "MSRP" of rv's! We got 32% off our '16 this past July.

Check the mods link in my signature. Some things may not work for a permanent site set up, but the shelves in the wardrobes are nice. How many hang clothes while camping unless it's a sweatshirt (or similar)? Lol

Good luck deciding!!!

Thanks everyone for your input. The family and I went to Camping World Chicago. After looking at a few trailers, we decided to pull the trigger on a 2016 Forest River Cherokee 304BH. MSRP was $36,710 plus freight and Dealer Prep. Ended up paying $24,580 with everything. Think We got a good deal, and love the layout. Will be taking delivery either this Thursday or next Sunday.

Here's a few pictures for now.

This is an Open Range 308BHS. We love it. Pulled it so far from Indiana to Los Angeles, and Los Angeles to Alabama with dozens of stops in between. I have around 40 nights in it within the last 12 months, and it's holding up to the abuse of my wild 4-year old girl, dog, cat and wife who has a nasty door slamming habit.

Highly recommended. Scaled at 9600 on our trip from LA to Alabama.

Nice TT , can I ask how you thought your truck pulls the TT ? I'm wanting to get a toy hauler {5400lbs} and would like to hear from others that have a 1500 pulling a trailer. Are you using a weight distribution hitch and what brand ? thanks in advance

I'm using a propride WD hitch. I bought it used, and wouldn't use anything else for towing something that long and heavy that is not a 5er with a 1500 especially. Sway is non-existent. I took it through the Eisenhower tunnel at 11,000 feet in Colorado, so if it can do that it can do anything anywhere else in this country. @ 55mph, I get between 10.5 and 11mpg. @ 60mph, 9.5-10mpg. 65mph, 9 - 9.5mpg.

I also have a TPMS on the trailer to monitor the tire temps/pressures. Knowing that I'm towing at the limits of a 1500s capabilities, I did everything I could to increase my safety margins and make me feel comfortable behind the wheel towing the trailer. I also did not upgrade the receiver. My tongue weight is in the neighborhood of 1100-1250lbs.
