Vibrations diagnosed and fixed ?

No, I didn't replace the bearings. They seemed fine when I was inspecting them. I did replace the seals though. Does yours have the rear end shake? My shake was coming from rear end and I never felt in the steering wheel.

Yeah I got the rear shake. Had it running on jack stands and I could see the left side wheel doin a dance. Switched wheels and same thing.

Sounds like a problem with an individual not the brand. Welcome to the forum and good luck with your truck. I have been a GM fan for many years and have never experienced this vibration issue on a new truck. Some of my older vehicles have had vibration at higher speeds but always fixed with tires & balance. It wasn't too long ago when 8 ft. box's were the most common sight. Now they stand out. Any pics?

Yes the service manager was fired for unknown reasons.The dealership ended up going through GM protocol steps and eventually something to do with the front end was inspected and replaced(bushings).Has improved significantly,sad to say the vibe ration is rather minimal now.But still present.I just ordered new 18" aluminum wheels and will be having them mounted next week along with new tires.Hopefully this helps.Most likely purchasing Firestone destination A/T's.Have to be much better than the stock steel wheels and 17" Bridgestone duller tires.Crossing my fingers!

Solutions: Driveshaft rebalanced, roadforced balanced all 4 tires, & front end alignment by independent shops. Better but still there.

Replaced both rear axles shafts with Yukon Gear axles, vibration free since

So I guess everyone is changing their axles. I ordered these on 8/23 and they are back ordered to 9/29.

Hoping these cure my shakes.

60,000 miles

Drove about 1,000 miles this weekend and with speed limit at 70MPH I was in the speed spot for the vibrations. Do not feel it in the steering wheel as that is rock solid. But the seats are shaking bad and if you put your head against the head rest, you'll get an instant head ache. Definitely notice it between 74 and 82 mph.

Going to be ordering the Yukon Axles and Bilstein 5100's and will report back.

Tried new tires, RF balance, rotations, alignments... nothing helps. Appreciate all the information so far in this thread on axles

So my Vibration wasn't as bad as some of the videos that I have seen posted where the water in the cup was shaking all over the place. It also did not make any audible shaking sounds, but I could feel it. I noticed it on my first long trip with the truck and thought it might be a bad balance on the tire or something.

I took it to the local chevy dealer and they ran the picoscope on it. They confirmed that it did have a vibration.

It had a 15.3 mg Tire 1 vibration @ 14.1hz. They replaced the steering gear bushings and said that I had a defective Passive Exhaust Valve and installed a new exhaust from the Cat back.

They ran the picoscope again and the amplitude was down from 15.3mg to ~3.5mg at 14.0hz.

I have only had one short highway trip and it feels a little better. I will report back when I get a good run at highway speeds.

Hope you have better luck than me getting your axles. I ordered mine 8/23 and still have not received them.

Called today and was told they are back ordered to 11/3.

I used them on my 2014 Silverado with little change in my vibration. Got tired of throwing money at it so got rid of it.

New to me purchased with 111,500 miles

Rock steady smooth all the way to 63 mph at 64 there is a hint of vibration. At 68 mph it is violent with a fore aft surge feel to it. It does this in Drive, 5M, Tow Haul and Neutral. At 70 mph gets better but still not good. 68 mph is definitely were it peaks.

I suspect the "surge" feel to the vibration it is probably the axles. I have a driveshaft ready to try but I will pull the wheels off and check the axle flanges first. I will also check the pinion angles.

I will report back in about two weeks or so when I have some time to do the work.

Hard for me to believe, but it looks like a simple tire balance and rotation at Discount Tire did the trick.

The tires and factory wheels were brand new Dealer installed 12,000 mile before I bought the truck.

The Driveshaft was out of round so I changed it. But it didn't seem to make much difference, IDK

After driving the truck another 1200 miles and in different (warmer) temperatures the vibration was very inconsistent. It varied in intensity (usually annoying but not violent like before) and the speeds at which it happened. Usually 60 to 70 MPH for the main vibration and a barley noticeable bed shake at around 45-47 MPH.

I was convinced it was the Rear Axles, Oh well I'm cautiously happy for now.
