2016 Sierra Denali ULTIMATE

In case you haven't seen it yet: http://www.gmc.com/gmc-life/trucks/gmc-unveils-2016-sierra-denali-ultimate.html

So now getting a Denali isn't enough, you need the Denali ULTIMATE!

I'm just not sure this trim level was needed. The "tri mode" power folding steps look interesting but not necessary. Nothing says you will never ever use your tow hooks like coating them in chrome.

It's neat and all, I just don't know why they felt they needed a new trim level except for $$$. More ways to gouge the customer and bling for the urban cowboy.

Most of our accessories are not "needed". But as long as the consumer is willing to pay for all these unneeded items, they will keep making them and more. It's capitalism at its finest.

Nothing special, they really just took a couple of the options and through them into a package, I like the 22's-power running boards-and chrome tow hooks so sign me up.

Wow. Just...wow. Kinda embarrassing.

Anybody notice the mention of the "triple door seals"???? So proud, had to mention it AGAIN.

so it isn't anything new? Just the options are standard on the ultimate package? ie 22s power steps (that you can already get on the denali as an option?) and the chrome hooks which you can get?

The screen and interior is still the same?

Correct, nothing special and everything could be ordered by itself. Might save a few bucks since its in a package.

Dude, that is sick! What will suck is when they come out with the Sierra Denali Super Deluxe Ultimate. Then these buyers are F'ed...

Looks nice, and well suited to those with stupid money that want a luxury pickup. It's probably $70k.

I could definitely go for a luxury car, but never understood the attraction to luxury pickups.

I guess I sorta feel that a pickup should have a little "ruggedness" to it. But that's me.

Wonder if it comes with high speed vibration to enhance ride.

Its called "Speed sensitive cab massage" Available in all models. In the fine print it says not limited to one speed or frequency lol

As someone who is picking up his 2016 Denali next week (I hope), this does not excite me at all. Ironically, the two "standard" features on this vehicle are the two options I opted not to get on mine: the 22s and the articulating step. I would have expected that they at least offer a few features that are not available on the lower trims. Or at least a 6.2L w/ lower gearing than the 3.23 that is not offered in the Denali trim. This trim level leaves me confused.

Other than the urban cowboy as you say I read once that despite their being well known, sometimes people are drawn to luxury trucks as they feel like they're less ostentatious than say a high end German sedan in your driveway. I'm not rich nor do I give a shit what the neighbors think so I don't get that though. lol
