I have a 30" curved mounted behind the grill. I bought it off of Amazon for a whopping $85. This is my second one as I also had one on my previous truck. Both have worked flawlessly, and put out an intense amount of light! Sure, the Rigid bars are nice, but way out of line price wise if you ask me. I would suggest you go with a bar that features Cree LED's as they are the most renowned brand. My buddy has a Rigid bar, and kicks himself in the butt over what he paid and what I paid for the same performance. Just my .02 cents worth.

but the easiest way to mount it is to literally drill into the radiator supports with the supplied bracket that comes attached to the lightbar. throw a washer on each side and it wont go anywhere. (get a 30 inch; itll fit perfectly)

I have a 14' silverado. I purchased N-Fab cab mounts and a 50" lightbar. For the install, my buddy who does autobody and mechanical work for a living helped drill holes in the cab and seal the wiring/mounts with a professional grade sealant. I love my cab mounted light (some say it's cliche), with the higher point of placement, the light projects further and at a better angle for my personal use (off-roading, dark road travels). All in all, I agree with many of the posters here saying that behind the grill is the safest method because it isn't a permanent mounting and secondly if a roof mount isn't done properly, there will be damage/wind noise/etc. I barely notice any wind noise in my truck even with it lifted 6" on 35's, only time I notice any is doing 70+mph.

dont buy cheap 100 doliar 30 inch curved led light bars, the first one i bought wouldnt even excede my hid lights, alot of work to mount behind grill and only to do it again becaise i went cheap the first time.lol the cheap one does work on my polaris sportman ok

Just depends on the application. I like curved because it projects a wider beam of light

has anyone seen, or tried to mount a light bar downlow, under the parking sensors. Almost between the two tow hooks? I would imagine you could use some mounting brackets for a bull bar or something and mount the lightbar down there?

Rigid makes a license plate mount. Other than that, maybe use some self tapping screws or drill some holes in the plate cover and bolt one on that way.

Just curious what you bought to replace it.. I personally haven't had ANY problems from my $100 32" light bar.

The straight bars are more like a spot beam.. the curved bars are designed to project light over a broader area.. I went with a 32" curve

I would recommend eccpp and buy them off amazon, I just got a 30" curved and so far I love it, its super bright and so far pretty water proof. I purchased the rigid industries wiring harness because I have read reviews about amazon harnesses overheating and catching on fire and felt like I should not cheap out on the wiring. Highly recommend the bar.

 

The colors you see are from when I took the whole bar apart and put in led strips that change color for backlighting and then resealed the bar and hooked it up to a Bluetooth controller.
