my 2015 silverado issues and questions

so, this is a long rant and question post. been looking through here for months and finally joined. i have a 2015 silverado 2LT texas edition if that makes any difference.

 

1. stibilitrack / traction control - how does this function? if its wet and I get a little carried away i can get the back end of the truck to slide sideways with the system on. I can also nail it on dry concrete and leave a pair of marks 20-30 ft long. only reason i have not tested further is i have nowhere to really test this and can not afford the tickets lol.

 

2. Hill descent control - or what ever it is called for the automatic version that is on all the trucks. I had mine kick on with a trailer going down a gravel road and it dropped the gearing low enough to lock the rear tires like if you were driving a stick shift and went from 5th to 2nd instead of 4th. dealer says it was because i was on gravel that it locked the wheels. that sounds very dangerous on icy roads.

 

3. Hill start - mine comes on at a 0º angle as seen by the onboard display that shows pitch and yaw. explained to me if the transmission has a load in the opposite direction of travel and you are stopped it will come on. want to make sure that is correct. I have it kick on at flat spots but they say its normal because the truck is wanting to roll back. even though when the hill start times out the truck starts to roll forward.

 

4. traction control / hill start on a steep hill - when on a steep hill and turning traction control will activate and the truck will shudder. there is no wheel slippage, the acceleration is very slow. if i accelerate hard it does not do it all the time. only when accelerating slow it activates all the time. i clumped the two things together separate from the other issues because its only when they both activate.

 

5. radio / audio system - random white noise coming through speakers when doors open getting into truck.

 

6. driver seat - starting to move a little when going in turns, feels like the seat is lose. not a lot of movement but its starting to be noticeable.

 

7. headlights - reflector lights suck on this truck, even with silverstars in them the light is still worse then in my wifes 2006 sonata.

 

8. squeaking - this is the second time this is an issue. pressing the gas peddle makes a squeaking sound from the rear of the truck. they replaced the muffler the first time and now its starting again. is it a bad batch of mufflers?

 

9. Rims - chrome starting to peel from the rims

 

10. center console / seat - when driving on nice smooth texas interstate a cup in the center console / seat back area looks like it is having a seizure even though there is no feeing in the steering wheel.
