So want to do this mod but gen 5 just basically doubled their price on the assembles to well over 2 grand! Of course you can find them on ebay but the majority are damaged and ones that say are in good shape have terms like "Sold as is" with the seller stressing to look over the pictures because they are what they are. Not very reassuring considering you are stuck once you purchase them.

I took a leap of faith on eBay and was worried the entire time until I installed. The seller was semi local so I knew I could always make a trip if something went south. There were a couple good passenger side assemblies but the drivers were all looking pretty rough. Luckily found a guy with a set that had all tabs.

When they arrived, I thought I just got a shipment of 100 kilos of cocaine by accident lol. They literally arrived wrapped in cardboard, not in a box mind you, just cardboard turned into wrapping paper; then inches and inches of bubble wrap over the cardboard and then freaking trash bags and packaging tape around all that. At this moment, I immediately knew I was doomed. To my surprise they weren't broken, tabs were still all there, and they worked thank the lord.

Car-part.com has a bunch for sale on there. I've heard you can contact the sellers for pics. Member on here and in this thread, Horacio, had a set for sell NIB on marketplace last week.

Gen5 is actually about $1650 for the whole setup if you call them. They just don't have any lights in stock though...

How was the fit for your wiring on passenger side? I may end up going back in and trying to do some adjustments. Felt like I had to really push to get the airbox back in there with wires bulging somewhat from the cover of the back of the plug assembly.

.

Can I ask why you had to mess w/ your airbox?

This looks very nice... I have the Gen5 and hate that the running lights trigger w/ the key.

Add me to your list if you get some going. Thanks..

Wasn't sure where or how I was going to route and secure the harness and resistor back in there. It just made it easier to access everything and ziptie a few spots and position the plugs.

BTW. Gen5 has a small harness similar to what they built up above. I just spoke with Offer there yesterday about it...

Oh?

Any details or price on this harness?

Always interesting to me how people call over there and they suddenly have another harness that isn't advertised. Not questioning you, questioning Gen 5.

It's on their site...

I know it says it's for the new HD's but they still have the same lights at the 14/15 1/2 tons. I questioned him for about 30 minutes on it. He swears it'll work and if it doesn't I can return it. I'm gonna order a set today. They are basically the same as above but with no capacitor. He said he's tested with and without the capacitor and it makes no difference...

The harness looks like this one but it has the resistor for the LED turn signal....

Oh well, I'm installed and not removing anytime soon hopefully. Have a few extra feet of harness ziptied and tucked away in the spare battery compartment or whatever it is called in front of fuse box haha.

You just proved my point.

It's not advertised to work with what we have been doing but give them a call and one appears. So we go from the advertised $187 harness to a $109 harness. Sure a few here with SLT trucks wouldn't have minded saving $80.

Give it a try. Sounds like you have a good safety net in case it doesn't work. Personally I know zmnypit tried to run the LED headlights without a capacitor as he posted earlier, and they wouldn't stay on. Maybe you will fair better.
