Ive tried searching but cant come up with much. Looking to go a bit bigger then stock and stay away from e load tires. I have a 1.5 inch level kit in the front. Trying to retain good mpg but go with a more aggressive tire.

I have some pics in my build thread. That was the first thing I did (don't have them anymore).

Edit: Here are the pics. (275/65/18 Cooper Discoverer ATP)

Any spacers/lift needed to accomplish these? I'll be going one size bigger with a 275/70/18 for a 33".

Nothing needed for 275/65/18.

With a 33" tire, you might want to level the front, or you might get some minor scrubbing on felt wheel liner. Mixed results on that.

It would be nice to see some pics of 275/65/18, trying to decide between those and 275/70/18 with either a 1.5" or 2" leveling kit.

I just got 275/65R18 Duratracs. No rubbing that I've noticed yet, but it's only been a day. In the Duratrac thread they said that they don't rub on stock suspension.

When my stock 18's need replaced, I'm not sure if I'm going to go w/ 275/70, 275/65, or 285/something. Don't need an LT tire (and the extra weight), so I guess it depends on what's available and what fits w/o rubbing.

When I had bilstein 5100 level I went with a 275/65R18 Toya AT2, and it was a great set-up. Highly recommend. I lost about 2 miles per gallon with the level and new tires.

275/70/18 DuraTrac(E) rub slightly at full lock in reverse with 2" RC level (front only)

How are those 33 E-rated holding up? Can you really feel the difference between the LT & E rated? Tuner definitely recommended?

Can't decide between these three tires when I upgrade:

Are those OEM mud flaps you have installed behind the front and rear wheels? Any rubbing with those? Enough space for a slightly taller or wider tire?

Posted

Yes, OEM mudflaps. No rubbing. I had 285/45/R22 tires previously. They are the same height, but slightly wider. They didn't rub either. That's the standard size when you get GM 22's.

I also previously had Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 33" tires on 20's with no rubbing (275/60/R20). I don't know if you can have 285 width and 33" tall. 33" tall is definitely the limit on height with stock suspension. I don't know about width.

Slightly Taller Than Stock

285/45/R22 - 32.1"H x 11.2"W

275/60/R20 - 33.0"H x 10.8"W

275/65/R18 - 32.1"H x 10.8"W

Stock

275/55/R20 - 31.9"H x 10.8"W

265/65/R18 - 31.6"H x 10.4"W
