Overhyped and ugly? Sure. Overpriced? Far from it. That $27,735 for an XL base as base can be regular cab standard box 2wd includes destination. Silverado? $28,390 with destination. GMC? $29,010 with destination. Ram with destination? $26,145. BTW...wanna know what you can get at RAM for less than $200 more than a Silverado WT? A Tradesman 2wd HEMI and 3.92 gears for $28,585, no other options. Talk about a steal for the big engine. And they don't limit the big engine like GM.

 

Who REALLY has the overpriced truck...General Motors and their Silverado/Sierra, especially seeing as they keep decontenting $HIT from them.

Who pays MSRP? GM and Ram have dropped huge $$ on the hood the past few months to compete with Ford. As always YMMV but here, the discount on upper trim Fords aren't there, a Top end Ford Lariat runs $51K from $60K with discounts. A similiar trimmed LTZ runs $41K.

MSRP vs MSRP the trucks are all pretty similar. But if you pay MSRP for anything but a special model, you've been taken for a ride.
