Negative. I turned off dod/afm. It sounds better and feels more powerful but I still had lag.

I tried the 87 tune and stock Trans and it ran pretty good but still had lag.

Then I put it back to stock and tuned the tcm to firm shift and bingo. No lag! That's when I found out its torque management for me.

Firm shift is perfect for me because it doesn't turn off TM it just turns it way down.

I'm currently running modify stock

Throttle boost 5%

Changed my tires size

AFM off

Trans set to firm

And I love it. I may not be done yet but I tried the 87 tune and my truck ran a little lean for me. And FYI firm shift is not the slightest bit harsh.

couple questions if you don't mind?

what model truck do you have ? motor trans rear end?

how do you know it's running lean?

do you tow anything heavy with your truck?

I really want to do. this just want to make sure it's worth the money. thanks for your time

2016 silverado z71 package.

5.3 L. 6 speed auto. 3.42 gear ratio

I was wrong about the lean and it was the smell it put off in my shop. But that was right after a tune.

I tow a 6800 lbs camper. That's empty weight.

I added spring helpers and they are great BTW.

I have no trouble pulling anything anywhere.

I was like you I didn't know. But honestly I am not disappointed I bought this. With afm on and the 87 tune I increased my milage by more than 2.5 mpg on the highway and the truck is quick. It's not sl9w and boggy like it was.

I don't know the milage increase in town and I have since disabled afm. So I'll recheck my milage again. I did a muffler delete and it just sounds great without afm. 0 droning. Really sounds perfect. Not loud at all but sounds like a truck

Does anyone know if there is something special you have to do for the tune to recognize my k&n CAI?

I'll piggy back onto this question, as I'm also considering ordering this tuner.

I have the GM Borla exhaust and the GM cold air intake. Will the Diablo recognize this, or are there settings that would need to change to let the Diablo know that the truck isn't stock?

Just picked one up today from AUTOANYTHING for $349.00. Trying to help throttle response and hoping for a little more pep in its step.

It does completely change the way this truck drives in my opinion. Gets rid of slug mode

I have one for sale. I sold my 2014 Silverado that I have it on. I returned the truck to stock so the tuner is unlocked and ready to use. I bought it directly from Diablo December 2016. $200.00

2015 Sierra 5.3 6speed Crew Cab

I'm running:

Diablo tune

Firm shift ON

AFM OFF

Torque Mngmt. OFF

Throttle boost 15%

Speed Limiter OFF

So far Im really pleased with the results. Anyone know what the diablo tune is? It was listed with the 87 octane etc. tunes. Description was about identical to the others.
