My 6.2 will spin them forever, i dont think grade brake has anything to do with it. The issue is when you're doing a burn out and your tires exceed the 30mph, 47kph, mark the SCS is looking to come back on. Chances are the backend will be trying to pass the front end, so the truck will detect a slight "yaw" and kick the system back on. If you can cook them perfectly straight, it wont cut your power. I have heard pulling the ABS fuse can disable SCS and TCS, i have also heard it can de-rate certain vehicles. I have not tried this yet but winter is here and having no option to disable SCS drives me f****** mental. I wish i test drove this thing in the winter. I live in a rural area and spend a lot of time in the back country, not being able to turn off nannies is a big issue. If i select the off position, i want it OFF.

Surprisingly this made a slight difference with my lil 4.3, it'll spin for about a second more with grade braking and traction and stabilitrak off. Kinda odd but I'll take it.

I had a 2014 / 5.3 .. and now a 2016 / 6.2. I think you do have to "turn off" more stuff with the 6.2. I think I have only tried it once on my 6.2 ... but could have swore the 5.3 was easier.

Could also have something to do with the difference in 6 speed and 8 speed.. who knows.

Strange. All I have to do is turn off TC and mash the gas and I can spin em all day long on my '15 5.3l. Don't even need to brake stand it.

My 2009 with Max Trailering package (6.0, 6 speed, 3.73) wouldn't burn out at all, no matter what was turned off. wouldn't even squeal with power braking. A tune, headers, and supercharger fixed that.

I have a 2014 5.3 w 6spd and 3.43, CCSB. Did a burn out when I first got the truck just to see if it would. I was very pleased w the spin I got from just having TC off. (Old truck was a lifted 4.0 frontier w 33's, it would barely spin from a stop when rds were wet.) Didn't think any more about it until I saw this thread.

Just had the opportunity to try it again, so I turned everything off (stabilitrac, TC, Grade Braking), and yes, there is a difference! I didn't like these tires anyway!

just to be clear, she will light them up, but I was under the impression the stabilitrac would stay off bye disengaging all 3, nope, don't care to burn the house down, but when the snow flies I am a little kid, and even when I'm not horsing it I had a bad experience with the stabilitrac in my 14, almost wrecked it because the truck did the exact opposite of what I had planned

Have you tried to us Manual 2 or 3 so it doesn't keep shifting? Also, I noticed once you started to roll the stabilitrak turned off. Will this only work on a stand still burnout or can you spin doughnuts also or get sideways in the mud? One more thing, will this work for the 5.3? my truck is at home right now or I would give it a try

nope never tried that.. alot of guys with the 5.3 say they can spin tires all day long and some guys with the 6.2... but I've yet to see any proof of these guys showing it..

I can spin my 5.3 tires no problem. It will light em both up with a good power brake. And no I will not be posting pics or vids. I have 7k on my new tires. But before I replaced the tires I laid down some good rubber marks out of my driveway.
