Welcome back Fond you were a good contributor and your how to videos were quite helpful. Now that Colorado needs some Retrofit Source HID head and fog lights!

I'm curious as to why you didn't like the Santa Fe? I'm a big fan of the value and dependability of Hyundai/Kia products. Test drove a Tuscon once and I liked it for what it was. Some may know I once had a Colorado with the 2.5L gas I4. I really liked it and I do miss it in some ways from my current half ton. Looking forward to hearing your input on things again...

The duramax I4 still has 6 speed auto correct? There is a YouTube video of tuned I4 duramax and it really woke it up.

 

I bet the 3.6 gasser is fun to drive with the 8 speed gearbox.

 

Is the ZR2 on lots yet?

Well sorta. Those of you who remember, I traded my 2014 Sierra in last summer for a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Well, the Santa Fe wasn't cutting it for me.

 

I didn't want another full size pickup, but I decided on a Chevy Colorado. So I'll be back on the forums again more frequently. But more related to the Coly's and Canyons.

 

But I wanted to drop a line to everyone in here.

 

My new truck is a Black, 2017 Chevy Colorado Z71, Crew Cab, Short Bed. 3.6L V6 with 8 Speed. The 3.6 has plenty of power, and the 8 speed is outstanding. I really like this truck.

It was a few reasons. I really don't like front wheel driven cars. They are boring to drive. Also the steering in my Santa Fe was way too loose. The turbo lag was annoying. The car felt hollow when hitting bigger road imperfections. It got blown around in the wind at highway speeds. The interior panels creaked.

 

The adaptive cruise control annoyed me. The lane departure warning annoyed me. But if you disable them it lights up the dash with warning lights. That annoyed me.

 

The traction control was way too sensitive. I found myself disabling it almost every time it rained because it would engage too often and cut power to the wheels a lot. Super annoying.

 

The car had remote start capability built in. a service to utilize it. Annoying.

 

Basically the car just annoyed me enough to justify trading it in.

Ah Santa Fe sport I didn't like that one ether, the bigger one with 295 HP V6 much better.

Congrats on the Colorado. It's a great truck. I had a 15 z71 ccsb before recently trading it in for a 17 z71 ccsb Silverado. I liked the Colorado a lot. It drove great and could fit in the garage. Only really went with Silverado for the extra interior space. With a rear facing car seat in the back for the baby, the front seat in the Colorado was too tight. Either truck is good choice based on what works best.
