pgamboa Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 I sent an email inquiry to GM Parts Xperts, the company I ordered module 13507652 from, and this is their reply cut and pasted: The part number that you order changes to part number 13521066, they are the same part. Hopefully we are all good.Good deal! That’s what I was hoping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KYDMAX Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 Finally got my 2015 3500HD fully retrofitted. Bought a wireless charging lid from a 2016 model. Had the whole center console removed to tap into 12v power hot all the time. Then had to buy the 13521066 module to swap the old module out. Swap the connector out to plug into the new module. Then ordered the brushed aluminum Yukon Denali trim ring (part number 23208761) and notched it out and the rubber mat below (9 rib old style) to better fit my iPhone X in a Catalyst impact case. I used a small piece of electrical tap placed under the mat where I notched it so the console light doesn’t shine through. Works like factory except for the charging indicator on the info screen because my 2015 doesn’t have that capability. Could I have done the same thing with a 3 coil wireless charger off amazon for $20 and stuffed it under the mat then plug it in the USB port? Sure. But I prefer the oem look and I’m very happy with how it turned out. 2
Shuffler Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 Unfortunately the "engineers" screwed the pooch on the charging pad. Hopefully someone will fix their mistake in the near future. The pad is too small in all the vehicles.
scott.moody.9401 Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Just changed my module out in my '16 to the newest one. Got it at gmpartsdirect.com . I re-used my old connector, just modified. I used a box cutter razor knife and trimmed the one tab that runs down the side. You lose the CPA (connector position assurance, a fancy name for "lock") but i used tie wraps for that. I also reversed my mat as my charging app told me i got more charging current that way. It works fine, any orientation. My phone and case is too big to lay exactly flat but it works fine Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk 2

rcpd34 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Just replaced my module tonight, repinned the plug and swapped out the trim ring with the brushed Denali one, flipped the pad and everything is working perfectly. 1
sdchrgrboy Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 I was able to swap out the module. I just trimmed the original plug with a knife. Phone charges and lights on on the dash. My only question is has anyone successfully ordered the 10 rib mat? I have a 2016 Tahoe with the 9 rib and the x is slightly longer than the space so it doesn't lay totally flat, but seems to still charge. If someone has a part # or has been successful in getting the new mat, that would be awesome. I would also consider ordering the silver Denali trim. Thanks 1
tyler.frost92 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 What's the part number for the Denali brushed trim ring?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
aaronarf Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Can anyone confirm if the new version allows for 'fast charging'?

It will actually show on the phone screen "fast charging" Not sure if this is a Samsung thing, or an Android thing. Only certain wireless chargers can get it to fast charge mode, the original wireless charger in my 17 won't fast charge. Edited January 15, 2018 by aaronarf
