A lot of people are switching to Ram. They now have 22% of the market which is huge compared to the old days. I drove one in 2015 before I bought my 2015 Silverado. It was a tough decision. You have 3 excellent choices in pickups today, Ford, GM and Ram. You really can't go wrong with any of them. I wish you luck with the new truck.

The Ram would be the first truck I would consider if I ever switched brands, but I just can't get into their hideous new front grill and tailgate designs...

My daily is an ‘06 megacab and I love it. I am still attached to my ‘91 s10 but I’d never daily it again.

My 14 Laramie was WAY smoother to drive than my 17 Denali. I miss that a lot, but the unreliable ecodiesel made me want something completely different... I probably should’ve gotten same thing but with a Hemi, but I LOVE how hard this tuned 6.2 pulls!

If you liked the Ram but not the eco diesel, then why not go with the 2500 Laramie Cummins?

I nearly bought a ram SLT Bighorn BUT, then I looked at the safety ratings and I coudn't stomach it... Besides that yeah I agree nice trucks...

Clunky six speed and piss poor headlights, these are the same (only) complaints I have with my 2017 Silverado. I am going to stay the course with mine, but will at least look at Ford or Dodge next time.

To each their own, I owned Dodge 2500s for most of my adult life...while you might find the Dodge 1500s are a better value, I feel the GM 2500 has a lot over the Dodge 2500. My father has a 2013 Bighorn 1500 that has treated him well (has a whopping 18k miles on it)...the one thing the Dodge allows you to do is install the factory brake controller with ease, almost plug and play, try that with a GM.

I wouldn't consider another Dodge 2500 until they redesign the entire front suspension. I put all new components in about every 75k miles...at $2500+ a pop, that gets old when you put over 50k a year on one. That was a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen, they didn't change anything from then until now either.

We have seen a lot of people leaving for rams over the last few years. I was close to getting an FCA vehicle before my Honda. (Decided to go back to a car though)

Enjoy your new truck!

Checking the net, Ram 1500 has more repeat buyers than GM or Ford.

I love mine, just not the 9.5-ish mpg I get around town. Second owner too which is about as close to a brand new truck I’ve ever owned.

That’s because ford or gm dealers won’t take them as a trade [emoji111]️
