We watch TV every evening, my way of justifying the cost. When I moved here 25 years ago I went from a big dish (10ft) to the new modern small dish and direct tv. Rain and weather didn’t bother the big dish I bought in 1985. So that’s not an improvement. Much like everything that is new these days you seem to lose something. I have Netflix and Amazon prime. I watch lots of TV too. The new improvement with Amazon is now you get commercials and you can’t fast forward through them. Of course you can pay a little more to eliminate them. I do see a future of more a-la cart. I’m spending more time on YouTube. You can pull up almost anything. I could see myself dropping direct tv except my wife doesn’t like hitting buttons and searching. Direct tv streaming does have its own box and control like cable. So it’s still the easiest compared to the rest.
