That's not what my noise is. I had the vent hose replaced and it still does it. I believe it's the Z71 badge on the front left fender.

Another reason they should have never put these on the front fenders, and should have left them on the rear! :D

I thought Mirror air whistling ..nope..I thought under hood ..nope..I thought Badges on side ..nope...I turned off the ac ..almost a never situation in SW Fl... and the noise stopped..turned ac on and back it came ..turns out it is the upper console drivers ac vent whistles with higher speed... crazy...

Try putting your truck in auto 4wd mode when you hear the sound and notice if it disappears.

The noise in my truck goes way when I put it into auto 4wd. What would this indicate as the problem?

I have a 2019 RST with the 5.3 two wheel drive. I believe the sound I hear is some kind of radio ground noise. It goes away with volume all the way down on radio. I wonder if there is a fix.

It is a problem with the front axle on the driver side. Check out the "jingle jingle only in 2 wheel drive" thread. There is currently no fix for the problem.

I will have to discuss this with my dealer, I too have this strange high pitched harmonic type noise.  I haven't been able to pin point where it was coming from since I am hard of hearing, my kids hear it.   If I left off the accelerator it stops immediately.   Not too hard to duplicate the sound.

My Truck was repurchased for this issue it’s a problem with the front differential and the drive shaft on the drivers side. Find the jingle jingle in 2WD thread in the trouble shooting section it’s over 60 pages.

Did you ever find out what the issue was here? This sounds like a very similar issue that I have in my 2020 Silverado. Just picked it up last week and I already hear a metallic/harmonic sound when accelerating.

Sorry for resurrecting an old post. I thought I would ask here before starting a new thread. Going back in for the 4th time for this issue and was wondering if this repair has held up long term. I was thinking it was 8spd trans related. For my truck the noise is only noticeable at certain transmission temp. Yes it sounds like Rudolph's nose. The dealer has reflashed the TCM, performed a cleaning of the trans mount, and performed bulletin #19-NA-121 pertaining to trans fluid.

The noise persists. It is marginally better. Better mostly around the city but still pretty brutal on the highway.

So, wondering how #19-NA-005 fuel tank filler pipe has been the long term cure.

thanks

Sal

Mine did the same thing when accelerating and the whistle would go away when I let off the gas. It was the flapper valve in the exhaust. I wired it open and the noise went away and hasn't came back.

I realize this is an old thread. But I was having a similar issue with my 2019 Silverado.  Took it in and was told it was the “idler” they replaced it and no more high pitched whine.  Hope this helps anyone with the same issue

I have the same noise on my 19 RST Crew.  I have had two dealerships drive it.  One said it might be a bearing ( to me it doesn’t seem like a mechanical noise, the other said needed new tires and alignment.  I have had it aligned at 22,****** miles already.  Both said no bulletins where put out on it.  Very frustrating.

I’ll bite. I have more of a whirring/whining noise at 60-65mph. Getting annoying. Does not sound like a whistle or high pitched at all. My brother say it sounds like the front differential but I’m in 2wd. Or heavy mud terrain tire sound. Anyone else?
