take the rebate......I heard the deferred payment applies regardless of 0 %

 

you would have to weigh the rebate and 0% but just the financing isn't good enough....you still have flexibility on how fast you want to pay it off regardless, but youll pay less interest if you get standard loan....to get 0% your credit is already solid so....

So in order to get the 0% I’d most likely have to just settle for whatever rebates they offer and not negotiate any more?

You generally would get fewer rebates to get 0%.  They basically roll the interest into the cost of the vehicle.  It's a shell game.

its usually nothing on rebate only whatever the dealer discount is. but they will make a play for either or I am sure.....with a lot of peeps getting 12k off plus youll never pay that much in interest....not on a low interest loan anyway and if you can get 0% than surely you can get 3-4% from credit union....maybe less

 

seems a lot of buyers can get 12-13k off so no reason why you cant...just have to be willing to walk away

Is there any specific dealers most people are going to now for the best deals.  When I bought back in 16, Laura was one of the best.  Not hearing much about them on this forum.  With all the possible deals I'm looking to possibly upgrade.  I'm in Nebraska, but willing to travel anywhere for the right deal.

Laura still has good pricing though others are getting similar with dealers around them.....on the HD trucks it seems to be a bigger factor as discounts aren't near as much as their little brothers (1500)….and Laura is consistently 8-12k on HD models, on 1500 just about everyone is giving deals.....just have to throw some feelers out and see what comes back

 

or find guys that have purchased on here and see if you can contact their dealers...especially if they are close to you

I wish I would’ve waited a little longer. Bought mine 2 weeks ago and only got 9k off with rebates on a Trail Boss. But I’m also in Southern California which I noticed they sell a little higher. Would’ve had a little more bargaining power considering the economy now.

idk.....been looking and there still holding firm so far cept for financing.....they taken least amt of hit offering this instead of discounts or rebates though.....it may change tho

exactly.....would you take 3% plus all discounts or 0% for 72 or 84 months.....you have freedom either way to pay it off however you want

True. I’m happy with the truck anyways and got a payment lower than I expected at 3% so it’s not bad at all.

stingy mofos out here....always take the rebate even if you qualify for 0% you will still get low digit single and will always be ahead especially at rates that are available now.....they are using rates to suck people in because they know the rebates/discounts overall are customers best friend.....i may be taken a trip out of state

 

i was gonna get that truck last august but damn the price they were getting was damn near full pop...custom TB was a joke so got an RST for about 26% off MSRP....which was fair....lifts and wheels are easy but since i might be trading up to 2500 i am keeping it stock

the truck I’m looking at is around 40k msrp.  With using the 0% finance how much negotiating power do I have to get that price down? The incentives they have (without using the 0%) bring it down to about 32k

 

as a back up plan I’m gonna see what kind of rates my credit union is offering. But I was also interested in the no payments for 120 days
