So the 2020 HD models standard bed is now longer ?

Can someone confirm this ?  I think they went from 6/6 inches to 6/9 inches .. Like Ford and their SD line

Yep - Standard box, crew cab overall length now 10.5 inches longer.  I have 14 inches of clearance in my garage with my current '17 Denali.  Not parking outside (I'm too high maintenance for that).  Might be a deal breaker for me.

You'll still have 4" left. just put 2" in the front and 2" in the back using the new cameras.

 

 

 

P.S. Trying really hard not to post the all "inches" comments I have in my head right now.

Sounds easy!  Not to get specific, but 3.5 inches - have to put inch and three-quarters on each end.  I've measured - very precisely.

It would fit in mine with roughly 1.5” on either side.  Chevrolet should have called me to find out my garage size before they designed the new trucks.

The T1XX HD is larger in every aspect compared to K2xx HD. 

 

Yes, interior space improved but the truck is now taller, longer and wider. 

 

I wonder if fuel economy will be less than K2xx, like how people reporting in the half ton T1xx are getting less mpg than their K2xx.

 

Glad GM didn’t downsize the fuel tank in the HD like they did in the LD.
