Well, to some it may not be worth the hassle.  But, I want the color I want.  Why 'settle' when you are spending in excess of $40k for a new truck?  And as far as getting a sports car, I have one:  a 2018 ZL1 Camaro with 6 speed manual.

I just like the idea of having my truck match my car, color wise, when I am towing it to a track day.  So, if I cannot get a Red Hot colored Silverado in LTZ or High Country trim, my next best bet is to get an RST with the biggest motor available, then supercharge it.

Paint the thing! Warranty in tact. LOL.

From that link. "The Callaway Silverado and Sierra are specialist versions based on General Motors’ GMT K2XX platform. The trucks may be equipped "

2019 isn't K2. So something is wrong.

I think they jumped before they looked when they posted this. They have not updated anything in 6 plus months.

Since I am disappointed that Chevy isn't offering the red hot color in the LTZ this year and the RST cannot be ordered with the 6.2L engine...

I am very close to ordering an RST in Red Hot with the 5.3L and the Max Tow package.

Does anyone know of a shop working on a supercharger kit for the 2019 5.3L yet?  Roush has a supercharger for the 2019 Ford V8 that takes it to 600hp.

I'd be happy with 500 out of a supercharged 5.3 if I can get it.

Anyone hear any rumors?

Dealership I bought my RST from has this new fire red RST with the Fireball performance package. Supercharged 500+ hp...Also had a Fireball camaro with 700+hp

Interesting that it's an RST, I assume that means it's the DFM 5.3 not the AFM 5.3?

I feel like I always buy my trucks too early. Can't believe they announced 2020 RST's will get a 6.2 option. Screwed again.

That red supercharged RST is interesting, but it is RWD, not 4WD.

I read online that Chevrolet is going to start offering the 6.2L as an option for the RST trim level in the 2020 model year.  So, instead of trying to supercharge a 5.3L, I will just wait until August/September and then order a 2020 the way I want it.

I'm still waiting to see a stock tune from any 2019 model. I'm not sure how anyone is tuning these new trucks yet when even HP Tuners hasn't released any information about being able to get into the new computers yet. Even if the truck has the old AFM/6L80e setup, I haven't seen anything come up about them.

I even googled the Fireball package and couldn't find anything about the 2019 truck specifically, they had pictures of the K1xx series trucks.

Yah i wonder if that 2019 rst fireball silverado just has a intake and performance exhaust. No one has tuned these things yet so unless GM gave them special permission i dont know how they could have.

What dealer is that fireball silverado at, is it on their website with some pictures under the hood? Not calling you a liar but maybe the truck is being misrepresented by the dealer or i am completely wrong and will ear Crow.

    • Thanks for response. Leak was right under drivers seat or thereabout.   Had checked by other mechanics and have read other information.   The solution can be a tad complicated and replacing multiple parts And with some.  The issue was still the same.   The brakes do work.   Just that the pedal is softer and goes further down.  But the brakes do work.
    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
