I did kind of a ghetto/ricer mod but I’m looking for something specific and I think it’ll help. 
 

I tried the AFE CAI and I kept getting CEL’s. And I tried the K&N CAI which sounded AWESOME and pulled a bit more but ran like crap sometimes and threw CEL’s. So now I’m trying the AirRaid intake pipe and K&N panel filter combo. Plus I drilled a few 1” holes into the drivers side of the stock intake box. I want that CAI sound without the hassle.

 

before you say the oil caused my MAF issues, it didn’t. I’ll report back after I drive it a bit like this.

Yea I’ve done that. Had an 01 I put a CAI on it saved the air box. My 04 was the same air box. So I drilled the 01 air box tried it on the 04. I sang like I wanted, seat of the pants liked  it. I’m from the flip the lid on the GM 4 barrel days. So what’s a little hot air? I you ever drove a 6 pack you know. I did.

That mod for the stock air box has been around forever. Drill some holes and cut a little bit of it out. Works perfect

Yeah I’ve seen it. I’ve debated but a guy I follow on YouTube that mods his trailboss has it and didn’t think it was worth it. You have to trim it if you have the flaps that open and close. It would be fine with the 2.7 but eh. If I ever see it for like $150 maybe.

I want Cold Air Inductions to make one for the 2.7. I’ve been bugging their support email haha. They make beautiful stuff.
