Sierradude Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Has the rear window leak been permanently fixed, if so when?
ShamrockShooter Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 In theory if you get one built Nov or later. Mine has been at the dealer 22 days and counting.Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
econometrics Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Yeah, no issues with my RST, which was built 1 Feb 2019. I've pressure washed the truck 3x in the past month, and it's been in some very heavy rain 2-3x here in DFW, too. No leaks. 1
Wiggums Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 That is the biggest reason why I don't buy newly redesigned cars within six months. Nine months should be fine.. it was the same thing with the F-150, leaking sunroofs, minor issues, etc., with the 2015 models. 2016 models were way better. Mine was built in February 2019 and I am not having any issues with the rear window but I am having issues in other areas though.

Lots of water leaks and other issues.
Rocz3cqg Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 GM does have a bulletin out to repair the leaking rear window and the fixes range from sealing the top of the window in place, resealing the entire window after removal and reinstalling that window to installing a new window. Now each action there is usually some after effects ie scratch trim and paint, poor workmanship etc.
fieldsend Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Had mine sealed at the dealership today after noticing a leak yesterday. Survived its first rain storm, we will see how it holds up

fieldsend Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 I traded my 2019 rst in for a leftover 2019 ltz they had on the lot. The build date is january 2019 mexico build. 3500miles. fine so far. I dont have much faith though. I am not worried though because my dealership always take care of me. 1
JohnCasey Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Mines a 2019 January Mexican build as well and I'm on my third window "fix" this time with a new window if the headliner ever gets in.
