Did anyone get a fix from the dealership? I just checked my bed and I can stick my entire hand in between the cab and bed on the passenger side, Only half of my fingers on the driver side.

Same.  2019 LTZ, day 2 I’m driving on an open road, I glance in my driver side view mirror & thought the back door wasn’t shut because the body line was off.  So I pulled over to check, and it was shut.  This is when I realized it was misaligned. The body line has a 1” jog between the cab and bed on driver side. When I checked the passenger side, it’s aligned perfect.  Confusing how one side is aligned but the other is way off.  Returned it to the dealer who sent it to their body shop.  I told them to get me a new truck and that a $56k truck should not be seriously misaligned like this.  So looks like I’m losing my beautiful blue and getting a shadow gray instead.

So they just switched you one brand new truck for a new, brand new truck?

I posted this on another thread, but I will ask again.

I have a cap ordered and am curious how obvious it will be with a cap on. Not sure if I want the dealer to mess with it, especially since i keep reading dealer has fix for it.

Same issue here, my truck is actually at the dealer now.  They are deciding on what they want to do with it, as they have not been able to come to a resolution.  I know another person stated that they where able to get their's repaired, but as of now I've been told the bed cannot be adjusted.  They have adjusted my cab to match the misaligned bed, as you can tell from the bumper is way off, so now I'm guessing the truck is going to track down the high and look like its not going straight.  They have mentioned possibly buying it back, but am concerned that I am going to lose out in the long run from what I've read on GM's buy back policy.  Currently I am in a loaner, as I have only had the truck for a month with the first payment coming up, and just emailed the dealer to see what the status is, and what they want to do.   Guess we shall see in time, but I did walk the lot with my sales  rep, and showed him others that where just like it.

Mine is the same way.  Super minor cosmetic issue and really not worth the dealer screwing up something more important trying to lift and adjust the cab and/or bed.  Certainly not worth a buy-back in my opinion.

Don't disagree if that where actually the case from the get go, but that is after they moved the cab of the truck, when they originally had explained that it was only the bed that would be adjusted.  The bed was way off not just from a cosmetic stand point, but you could actually see it sticking out on the other passenger side, along with the bumper being off due to the bed, which of course makes since.  Instead of notifying me though that the bed could not be adjusted, after saying it could, they decided to align the cab with the miss-aligned bed, which as you can imagine now has everything off.  Either way, its a 60k truck, and if they need to buy it back, then that is on them, not me as they do need to stand behind their product.

Any updates on this? My truck has the same bed alignment issue. I find it hard to believe the bed cannot be adjusted.

It's not the bed...it's the cab.  The back, left corner of the bed needs to be shimmed up.  If you move the bed on one side to align, the other side is affected.

There is a member who successfully had his dealer fix this issue and it involves shimming/moving the cab, not so much the bed.

I'm ultra-OCD so this constantly annoys me but I'm not sure I want the dealer lifting my cab.  I'm sure that would affect other aspects of the truck.

I'm not sure about the cab business, my paperwork stated they adjusted bed alignment under warranty.

Isn't there now a TSB for this issue? I've been searching for it but I would appreciate it if someone could post it.

Is there any fix for the bed and cab being misaligned? Took my 2020 truck With less than 500 miles to the dealership today and they said it’s normal. Don’t think a cab being misaligned at least 3/8 is normal. Makes my truck look like a salvage.

    • New tires are on, Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT's in 235/75/15. $100 per tire, after $10 AAA discount. Plus install ($100), disposal fees, and taxes.   The new tires ride nice. Catch 22, new tires, I love it again! But I feel like I've been through the wringer with this rig, and maybe I don't need this kind of headache right now. Wait until tomorrow, I'll probably love it again and keep it another week.   Never a dull moment: Got a CEL driving to the tire shop, P0172 bank 1 too rich. Oh lordy, really? I've been enjoying an emoji-free dash for too long, apparently. I popped the hood at the shop and I think there was a vacuum leak very close to the intake. Cleared the code and put a bunch of miles on it going home, code never returned. My fix was zip-tying the line on the vacuum reserve ball because the hose won't stay seated. It's either that or the fuel pressure regulator has an issue again or an injector is leaking. See why I'm getting tired of this one?!   In the gas price thread I recorded 19mpg on the last tank in fairly mixed driving and some higher-speed highway (70). I also don't have the lower engine shield installed right now, and that would help with diverting a lot of wind underneath the truck.   Not too long ago, a green '96 4-door 4x4 came up for sale with less than 1,000 actual miles. There was a story there but it was real, and the place wanted like $25k for it. Would be fun to have a NICE example of one of these, but not too nice. The joy is driving them.   That's it for a while...family and social stuff all weekend, no time to play with my Hot Wheels in the garage for the next couple of days.
    • $5.19 after Kroger discount for 87 today. Moses!   Somehow I've already put 560 miles on the Blazer with the last tank clocking 19mpg.
    • I have a 91 GMC SIERRA 1500 4.3 liter. My dipstick broke. Can someone tell me how long is the oil dipstick. Local Part stores do not stock the oil dipstick. If someone can tell me the length. I can match up an aftermarket one. Thank you.
