Trail Boss road noise / tire vibration

Let me start by saying I’ve had lifted trucks all my life with big off-road all terrain tires. These duratrak tires are absolutely the worst tires I’ve ever had. I’m at about 15k miles, the noise and vibration between 30 and 60 mph is ridiculous. It’s actually starting to vibrate the truck apart from the constant humm. The hood latch/cable has worked its way loose and now has its own noise. It’s sad that a $56k truck has tires with over half tread left, and only 15k miles are going to need to be replaced before the truck rattles itself apart. 
 

Anyone else having this problem? Any luck getting support from GM?

I actually love the Duratacs. Best tires I’ve had on a truck. Sorry you’re not having a good experience with yours.

I have 9400 miles on my custom TB Z71 Tires have humm from the very beginning  actually getting quieter, no vibration what so ever smooth ride all the way through.

Yep it’s perfect. It seems like the more the tires become feathered, the louder and worse it gets.

Picked up my 2019 Trail Boss yesterday. I noticed the road noise and assumed it was due to the more aggressive tread. My previous Silverado had standard all terrain tires and these Trail Boss tires are certainly more aggressive.

First thing I did after I bought my Trail Boss is replace the Duratracs with Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

 

The Grapplers are much quieter and smoother than the Duratracs, it was like driving a totally different truck.

I hate to have to replace tires with 13/32 of tread left, but seriously considering it. I have an appointment with the dealer on Friday, we’ll see what they say first.

They said that I’d have to contact Goodyear to get them warrantied. That was a directive from GM. I ended up selling them.

They said I only had until 8k to notice it for warranty. They checked the alignment and toe was out on both side. Cost me 80 bucks

Did you rotate them every 5-6000 miles?

Wow really? I was always under the impression the Ridge Graps were louder then Duratracs. But man do i love the style of RG
