Frozen Windows

Hi!  I have a 2017 Silverado 1500.  This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned for frozen drivers window.  I drive 15min before I get to coffee drive-thru with defrost on and if it snows or anything it will be frozen.  Tried putting slicone spray on the felt strip and in tracks already a few times.  Anyone else with problems and possible fixes.

Thanks

Scott

i agree with you, my 2014 has to be the worst vehicle i have ever owned for this. i put the plastic window vents on and now leave my window open an inch, this way i can grab the top of the glass and wiggle it to break it free

just take a cup of hot water and pour it on your drivers side window to defrost it.

if it's an issue for you..

Real world problems...

How about waking up 5 minutes earlier and making your own cup of coffee ?

Welcome to the site.

Check the drains at the bottom of the door to make sure they are working, just an idea, if water is staying inside the door, that could be your problem.

Nature of the beast they sealed up the doors and windows so tight to make them quiet that it doesn’t take much. I always preheat the truck before driving and it helps. The silicone spray is suppose to displace the water but needs to be applied above freezing temps.

How about an anti-ice treatment wiped on the night before?
