Bose Amp is mounted on the back wall of the truck (behind the passenger seat).

You might have a console sub. If you do, you’ll end up with a “hole” in the carpet. This cutout will be exposed if you have a sub.

You’ll need the front panel - I call this the “ashtray”. I have a black one for sale for $60.

You’ll also need to add this trim piece.

You will need a “reverse” conversion harness. I have here - https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2018-reverse-console-jump-seat-conversion-harness/

It will plug into the main dash junction where you console plugs in now. The harness would need to run under the carpet along the jump, and connects directly into the components of the jump seat.

Hope this helps.

Hi pgamboa,

I know it's been a while since this post, but I've finally come across a tan leather seat on eBay and it just arrived today.  My next step is to find the "ashtray" and trim piece you mentioned, but in the cocoa color if it exists.  I am also going to order the harness you linked, but wanted to check if you have the other pieces to try to consolidate orders.

Also, based on your pictures, I took it that the subwoofer was mounted in the floor, but after doing some more research I learned that it's a box within the console. Can you expand on what is in the photo of the trim piece near the gas pedal to the right, looks like a speaker.  I guess I have to figure out a solution for relocating the sub. Maybe I can build a box to mount in place of the ashtray our something.

Appreciate your help, you seem to really enjoy helping people with these topics.

Order both these lower trims. They only come in back. You need both pieces.

Awesome, thanks for this info. I had been on that site before but wasn't able to find the parts through search terms. Having the part numbers was super helpful. Got them all ordered along with your reverse conversion harness!

Ready to get this swap done. The twins arrived Saturday the 2nd and should be coming home in the next few days, so we need the 6th seat soon!

Thanks again pgamboa!

I would be interested in a review of how the install went and other things to look out for. We are expecting our 4th little one here in 5 months and am looking to do this conversion on my 2016 Silverado LTZ. If you could put together a list of parts you had to buy that would be very helpful!

congrats on the twins!

I’ve got a Jump Seat/Ashtray/Trim pieces for sale. Out of my 2018 Silverado. Only thing you’ll need are the plastic covers for the 4 bolts. I did a full console swap! Located in Hopkinsville Kentucky.

250$.

Shipping not included. Will travel up from my location to 3 hours each way for delivery/meet up. Additional cost may be associated with that.

PnP harness below:

I completed the console to jump seat swap. However, does anyone have any information/recommendations about relocating the Bose subwoofer that was located in the center console? Also, I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali black center console if anyone would like to purchase it!
