Has any one installed the illuminated door sills that gm offers? I want to just wondering if there worth it

I bought a pair thinking they would look pretty cool. Took them to my dealer today to get them installed.  Found out the installation would involve about 4 hrs of labor which at dealer rates was prohibitive. Seems that wiring them up requires removing the console, among other things. So if anyone needs a cheap pair....

My lighted door sills  are on backorder. And well my truck is not here yet...I selected dealer install for a $75 fee via Chevy accessory website.

I saw a set for sale on ebay and was bummed to see they aren't available for the 2019... makes me wonder how difficult it would be to retrofit!

4 hours is nuts. I've installed multiple sets on '14 - '18s. The process is only slightly different than the last gen. GM warranty time pays 1.0hr. So double that should be about right.

From the description pictures these should only need a power and a ground. I would visit another dealership before I'd let them go. Or you could always install them yourself.

Yea GMs website shows only a $75 or $100 install fee, so that doesn’t sound right...be sure to post pics when you do finally install them!

Thanks, I'll check around. Do you have a link to that page?

They look awesome! Would definitely get them on my 19 if it’s compatible.

The dealer install fee is shown during the checkout phase of purchasing once you select your dealer and select dealer installation instead of dealer pick up or ship to you. I have seen on other parts the dealers can change their fees drastically..

I wish they made these for 2019 trucks.

Tom

Why wouldn't these work for a 2019?  Door sills are the same shape.
