My S&B intake comes in tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have some time to install it later in the evening.

I'll have to keep my eye out for the vibrating pedal.

Did you guys install the optional box plug or leave it open for more airflow? Just wondering if anyone has experimented with the box open vs closed. Is the extra airflow noticeable in sound and throttle response etc.

Thanks. Can't wait to get it installed!

I did not install the optional box plug.  I do live in a very hot and sometimes dusty environment, which I read it is better to plug up the box in that case.  But ehh to me I doubt it would make much a difference and I wanted max sound/air so I left it off lol.

Just installed mine today. I’m getting the same vibration when giving It gas. Checked everything and nothing is loose. Worse obviously when punchin it. My first intake so hopefully somebody else will chime in.

Called S&B today at 877-442-3631 and tech support asked how long I left the battery disconnected during the install.  I had my battery disconnected for around 5 hours since I started the disassembly before the part even arrived.  He said he thinks it's just vibration caused by the extra noise.  He said the original intake has a resonator on it (not sure if this is correct?) and that since this one is louder, there is not really anything that can be done about it.  *shrugs* I didn't really push the issue as I'm not sure what to think yet.  Doesn't really bother me too much but would be better if it didn't vibrate.  I've yet to poke around too much so may do that here in a bit.

Got mine installed last night and left the box plug off as well. Man, does it sound good! I test drove it last night and a little this morning and did not notice any vibration at all.

Normal cruising its barely noticeable, but as soon as you step on it, it has a nice deep growl. I ran an Airaid Jr. intake on my 15 Sierra and the S&B is noticeably louder.

Testing it out last night, I chirped the tires which surprised me since I was never able to do it as easily stock. Throttle response has improved quite a bit, which is what I was mostly after. The power seems to finally be available as soon as you push the pedal.

Overall, I am extremely impressed with the fit, finish, quality and ease of installation. And for the price, it's hard to beat.

My 2018 did the same thing. I could instantly feel the difference.  I gained a half a truck length on my stepdads ecoboost. They do work! Anyone who says they don't are fooling themselves. Plus the look is amazing compared to the hammerhead look of the stock intake. I'm ordering my new one tomorrow. Auto anything was out of them last week.

Loosened all the hose clamps and adjusted them a little as one of the screw heads was sitting right against the throttle body area.  This seemed to help.  I still notice a tiny bit of vibration but does seem like it may just be due to the resonance of the sound.

I have an aftermarket muffler (Black Widow Venom 250)  do you?

About chirping the tires I just did this twice on my quick little test drive.  You're right, it seems much easier to do now.  I don't even drive that aggressive.  Intake seems really mean and I like it! Lol

Just got mine ordered. Excited about getting it put on. Autoanything isn't getting them in, so I had to go through Realtrucks??  I know some have had a bad time with them, but my door sill trim came in 3 days with no issues, so I'm crossing fingers the intake gets here with no problems.

I got mine through americantrucks.com, I just order from whoever as far as my truck accessories are concerned.  Ordered from like 5 different places for various things and no bad experiences yet *fingers crossed*

I installed the s&b intake about a month ago but put the plug in initially. I was a bit disappointed in how quiet it was compared to how others have reviewed it. After reading this thread, I removed the plug.. Wow what a difference in sound! Truck drives great with plenty of pep!
Side note, since removing the plug I have noticed a slight vibration in my gas pedal. It seems to be directly related to the noise level and how much throttle I'm giving it. It doesn't really bother me though.

I just installed this KN set up last night. I wanted the S&B but they're back ordered from real truck.com for the next month or two. So I was impatience [emoji23]. I have to say it's LOUD when you get on it but overall mellow just cruising. Way to early to notice any difference overall. Install is pretty straight forward. I am upset they shorted me 2 bolts I had to buy. The filter is giagantic 7" diameter by 10" and a 6" base.

Where can a guy find this S&B intake? Everywhere but Realtruck seems to be out of stock and after recent posts on here, I’m not sure I wanna use RT.
