2019 6.2 bad engine.....

Why?  It's the nature of the way these engines are designed to use oil with low tension piston rings and all.  Direct Injection power is nice, but comes at a price.   If it can happen to a crapota, it can happen to anything.

My comment was based on someone saying run to Toyota. Just saying they have the same issue(s) it’s no different

I know I understand all that but it’s a good loan no pmi it’s conventional 2.89 locked in and 3.1 apr.

im not trying to argue just saying we have covered all the bases she’s well off for being 20 and as u can see a lot of people here hate to see anyone so young and successful. must be envious... idk

Most people pander to these multi billion dollar companies like Chevy.

It’s kinda sad that instead of people posting success story’s they just say F off suck it up. But thanks for the info!

90k+ a year only got 220k pre-approved?

Shoot, they'd probably give somebody 400k+ here lol, but again the approval stuff is easy to get if you aren't in debt up to your eye balls already.

Your comment about low tension rings caused me to wonder if this person is using OEM recommended oil.  I believe it’s 0/20 weight.  I think sometimes folks may be a bit Leary of such light weight oil.
but, gotta say, I’ve been driving GM trucks since 1975 and wife went through three Suburbans while we were raising three girls.  I had a few engine problems but never had an oil burner.  Worst problem I had was a 2005 6.0L engine cam had a soft lobe, dealer rebuilt the top which was under warranty.

about Toyota’s;  I personally believe their engines are bullet proof.  I shopped the Tundra a few times over the years but I don’t like the seat design and interior layout as well as GM , maybe because I’ve driven GM for so s long.  But, the big show stopper for me has always been price, too high and sales guys are too proud of their products to suit me.  My two bits ?

Some are, but some are not.

Its not even close.  As someone who has been in this industry for a long time at the dealership level, I can tell you its different types of engineering from the top down for all brands.  Then again Toyota is still riding 14 year old tech in their trucks thats why they are so good, they improve on the things that went wrong, GM FORD RAM dont, they create new things and add untested tech.  Ford alone has 6 engine choices in their trucks !  Why?

Well ram designed it's models off of hammers...... Maybe Ford wanted a hammer for every job?

It's supposed to be 5 engines but people threw a fit about dropping the Coyote. So Ford let it live.

I got my Tundra for $45k CAD back in November when a Ford with the features I wanted would have been $55k CAD, the cheapest Silverado I could have lived with (but without all the features I wanted) would also have been $55k CAD and it would have been about $65k CAD to get a Sierra loaded up the way I like it. Even with more discounts later in the year, the best price I saw on a GM I would have wanted was still over $50k CAD.

Glad that you did so well!  Btw, what’s CAD stand for?
