Info on Stock Tires?

Recommended Posts

I was looking at a couple of different trucks online but I can't find any information about the tires that come with them other than they are described as 265/65R18SL all-terrain, blackwall tires and 275/60R20 all-season, blackwall tires on the Chevy website. Does anyone know what brand these tires are?

In most cases they don't list tire brand/model because they have more than one approved source.

Sometimes, a specific trim or option package will have a specific tire brand/model, like the (optional on) 2020 AT4 1500:

R3O    Tires, LT275/65R18C MT blackwall Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac

- Included with (PDG) AT4 Premium Package, (PCJ) Off-Road Performance Package or (PCP) AT4 CarbonPro Edition. Not included with (PCP) AT4 CarbonPro Edition if updated to (NZQ) 20" 6-spoke Carbon Grey painted aluminum wheels.

(On Silverado, R3O is std on both trailboss versions (but can be changed to 275/60R20SL all-terrain, blackwall), and R3O is optional on LT and RST)

Other the the R3O code tires, none of the other tire versions currently in the guide list a brand/model.

My factory tires are All Terrains, not All Season, specifically 275/60/20 Bridgestone Dueler AT's.  Maybe they were part of the Z71 Off Road package, or Texas Edition Package, I'm not sure to be honest but if its that important to you I can check.

Unlike most people with 4WD's, my driving is 99% on-road so I want a quiet ride and these tires seem to be pretty quiet so far.  Hopefully I won't need to thoroughly test the 4WD system anytime soon, but when ( not if) the inevitable occurs, I have no clue how these tires will do.

That is most people as well. 99% is about the percentage of 4wd owners who only drive on road and might stray in to a dirt parking lot or road at most, especially down south.
