2020 Silverado shaking

I have a 2014 Silverado, considering buying a new 2020 Silverado. My truck has the shake on the interstate (70-80 MPH). Can anyone update me if this is fixed and how they fixed it if so? Also, can anyone let you know if you’ve driven a ‘20 (or ‘19) over 10k - 20k miles if it’s not shaking?

No problems here, had mine about a year and a half. No widespread complaints from anyone else that I’ve seen either. I know it was a huge deal on the K2s.

I had a 14 shaker as well which is why I traded it in on my 19. Mine was fine in the beginning but has developed some sort of shake at 1600 miles. Might be the wheel/tire balance, but haven’t had a chance to check it out yet. If it’s not the tires, I’m getting rid of it ASAP. Definitely not going to go through that again coupled with the rear window leaks (already had a rear window replaced) on the 19/20’s.

Test drove a few K2 shakers so waited until the 19s came out. No problems at all. There may be one here or there due to tires, etc. but it isn't a faulty, untested design problem like in the K2s. If you want a new one, don't hesitate. Just be aware of any known issues (8 speed tranny sucks, rear window leak are the big ones).

Thanks for the info, good to know. It looks like they might have fixed the window issue. Do you know anything about a fix on the transmission by any chance? May look into the 6 or 10 speed instead.

My 19 with 20000 doesn't shake. My 14 never shook either. The 10 speed is excellent.

19 LT1 4x4 crew 5.3 8 spd - 18+k miles no shake or window leak but i don't have the beer window option so I don't know if the window leaks apply to the non beer window option.

My dad have a 16 optioned out like my truck his is a 6 speed no shake either.

My '16 LTZ never shook either, the '14 I traded for it sure did though. The '19 Sierra is all good so far as well, almost 15,000 miles on it.

Do any of you guys have pinion shims? My truck has them from the factory and think that might be the problem.

I had a 2016 SLT Sierra that shook. Gm bought back and I a 2017 SLT 5.3L , it never shook. Had a 2018 SLT with 6.2L, it never shook, and now I have 3500 miles on my 19 high country and it rides perfect.

Just curious, did you try battling with your 14 with dealership and GM to get it fixed or bought back??
