It’s a 7 passenger SUV with fairly good off-road credentials for a stock vehicle. In contrast, the Corvair’s only off-road ability was skidding off the road and killing people. Comparing the two is idiotic.

Agreed. I’ve seen the new Tahoe’s and they are gorgeous inside and out. Pictures don’t do them justification. Yes, it’s my opinion but just watch GM will sell a $h!t ton of these and stay large suv king.
GM knows what they are doing people don’t buy these large suvs to drag race, go serious off roading.  They buy them as family haulers and weekend warriors. If GM didn’t make the Traverse I’d get one but I can save $25k on a premier traverse that fits my families needs.

I'll be up all night consoling Pepper her feels are so hurt.

Well, at least it will be easy to wrap your burly, hairy bear arms around her dainty little power plant of a heart.

Wow, this thread turned sour quick. Nothing like poking the bear (haha no pun intended) to have a little fun in good faith but some of these comments are cringe-worthy.

When I jointed this site I took note of the number of members it has and also how few contribute. I really wondered about that. That is until the first time I took a hit. What happens is I get PM 's from these guys that have been here for years that have posted zero times. We bounce a few comments that starts with an wish for my well and thanks for my contribution and ends in my inviting them to joint it. The universal reply has been:

Na, I see what happens to people that contribute here. I'll just lurk but don't them them drive you off.

One I got yesterday told me he petitioned the admin to stop this thread.

What a sweet thing to do.

Yea, coconut oil sounds right.

?

Grumpy provides comic relief and harmless satire.  And occasional useful info. I do, however,  wonder how he’d respond to the silent treatment from the rest of us? Just saying.

The T1 would look better if it had proper wheels and tires on it.

The GMT-900 would look better if it was a little lower and got rid of the bed rails.

This^

Never understood why someone would jack up a truck like that and then put huge rubber bands on the wheels. Saw one just like it and said the same thing to the wife a couple days ago while hauling tree limbs to the canyon.

My mechanic is 6'5" and I guess 260 ish. He puts the seat in the box :crackup:Funny to watch me get in after he's been in there.

What are you hitting your knees on? I do it in the wife's Terrain and my Civic and know how painful that can be.

So I did a side by side comparison between my 2016 and my 2019.  My knee will occasionally hit the bezel, just below the headlight switch and dimmer roller knob when I get in the 2016.  I measured 27 inches from the bezel to the rear of the door opening.  On my 2019, it's 29.5 inches from the bezel to the rear of the door opening.  Which explains why the 2016 feels like a much tighter fit when getting in.  And those extra 2.5 inches are why I have never hit my knee on the bezel of the 2019.   With the seat all the back, which is where mine always are, the 2019 is much more spacious and comfortable when getting in, getting out and when driving.
