Eggs?

I eat eggs almost every day for breakfast. Sometimes for supper.

Eggs and bacon. Eggs and ham. Eggs and sausage. Eggs and Spam. Always with two pieces of toast. Sometimes with spuds of some sort.

If I don't eat breakfast I'm starving by 11am.

A favorite is two eggs over easy , on top of a bed of hash browns and sliced fried kielbasa. A couple english muffins with strawberry jam.

And a big cup of black coffee.

I really like this stuff I get at Menards for the kuerig. It only comes in a box of 12 k cups and it's called " Smooth Caffeinator".

I hit eggs and egg beaters pretty hard myself. They’re free on weight watchers diet. Toast and jelly of course. My breakfast is usually my biggest meal.

What do people do with their left-overs? When I have enough chicken or turkey (this time of year), I make pot pies and freeze them for later. Chop up the meat add vegetables of choice, frozen or canned. Mushroom, chicken and celery soup. Mix together. Season to taste.  Then taking a pre-made pie shell, fill it. Top it with one of those roll out pie crusts. Bingo you're done. Bake at 350-375 until crust is done. Not eating right now? Place it in a freezer zip-loc bag or even better in a vacuum sealed bag. Take it out of freezer, go straight to oven if necessary. It just takes longer than if thawed.

Make it right and you'll have a better pot pie than store bought

Every day I try to drink a lot of water, to eat some vegetables and fruits, and the meat or fish should also be the part of the meal. It is very important to feed your body with all the vitamins, proteins, etc. I keep all my vegetables and fruits in sous vide bags because it is the best keeper in the fridge that keeps fresh everything you put in there.

I had to look that up :)

What's your favorite way to cook a turkey?
I got a 21lb butterball for the wife and I.
Did I say the wife and I ?
You bet. I told the kids they are on they're own this year. No biggie one is 200 miles away , one is 800 miles away and one is 15 minutes away. They are staying home also.
I like leftover turkey so I always get more than we need.
I'm looking for ideas for roasting in the oven. Too cold for smoking or grilling.
Inject?
Salt brine?
Cajun?
I'm open for anything....

That is cool . I googled it and Ace Hardware has them for $99 if you are a rewards member. That's a great idea.

I've got one and I like it. It does make for a crispy on the outside bird. It cooks by radiant heat. The propane flame/heat is contained between the inner pot and the outer shell, so it does not dry the food out.  Works pretty good for ribs too. I don't use it much anymore. I probably need to sell it for a few bucks to somebody.

I've got an electric smoker that I tend to use quite a bit. For frying birds, I got one of those electric Butterball fryer. It works great. Bird cooks pretty quick, one of the main reasons I bought it. I've got to prepare food for Holiday festivities at our church (not this year). So being able to fry a couple of birds quickly, back to back, is handy.

After the Holidays the char broil big easy often drops to about $50 at Lowes, etc... Might be different this year though. Stores may not have ordered as much stock as usual

I decided to go straight up traditional roast turkey.

I'm going to cover it with a rub mix of fennel, sage, paprika, salt and pepper. Also slow roast method at 325° for around

6-6 1/2 hours. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Let's see your turkeys . I really am interested in Ryan's turkey in the char broil.
