It’s a $67k truck. It should come from the factory perfectly aligned for that amount of money in my opinion. We’re not talking about a cheeseburger with its cheese not properly aligned on the hamburger here.

Ever owned an 70 Chevelle? You should see the gaps on those. Price one lately? What do you think is worth more? A restored perfect one? Or an original untouched one? I wouldn’t be perfectly aligned. I’ve owned dozens of GMs. A perfect one would be my first. I’m glad I’m not that picky. I would have missed out on some great rides.

Comparing a Classic Chevelle to a T1 Silverado is funny. I agree with you on classics, but this truck isn’t in this type of category.

Also, with the technology GM has at its disposal now compared to 1970, there is no excuse for this to happen now! 
And yes I am very fickle with my vehicles. They are washed, cleaned, and dried by hand at-least once a week.

Unseen issues will continue to exist no matter how thorough an inspection but uneven body panels and out of alignment beds should not.  Especially at 60-70K.  I don't think that is a lot to ask for with any manufacturer.

Nope not a 70 Chevelle, but a 65 Chevelle with a small block 400 w/Trick Flow heads, Holley 750 CFM and a turbo 400 Trans. and a 67 Chevelle with the 396 (375 HP) with 4 on the floor.  Those were the days that can't be matched IMO.   Sorry  for the topic derail....

How much did a 70 Chevelle sell for brand new in today's dollars?

In 50 years our trucks will be classics, especially since GM announced today they will be done with internal combustion engines in 15 years. People will be saying, remember when your truck had a column shifter, made manly noises when you drive down the road, and didn't require 8 hours to recharge? Pepperidge Farms will remember.

Well my 2020 Denali 6.2 just blew the engine with 32000 miles on it. Dealer keeps telling me they haven’t heard back from GMC. Should I be filing the claim?

Did they give you any information on what the failure was? If it's a valve spring it's the highest mileage one that's let go I've heard of.

This truck has been the best thing out of all of the above that I have had in the past.

 

I had the leaking rear window but it was replaced on the second visit and no more issues to date.
