I think I might pass on SuperCruise.

I don't spend enough time on the current mapped highways to make good use of it.

UtraCruise --  now we might be talkin'...

I would probably upgrade for both. (proper usage?) for either?

Agreed, I would much rather Ultra cruise. I'm sure that will be 5 years before they put it in a truck. It would be the only real reason I would see to upgrade from a supercruise truck.

If Super Cruise is $25 a month, I wonder what the subscription price for Ultra Cruise will be?

I'd be kinda surprised if it were much, if any, more.

I don't know GM is the king of charging more for very little added feature, and forcing you into top packages to get the best feature combos, just look at onStar.   I would not be surprised to see something like ultra cruise and the full onstar functionality approach $100 a month, it's already $50 a month to get all the features, and they have so many tiers/options/add-ons that there are less combos on a chinese restaurant menu.

Have to agree here , but have you seen Porsche added option costs ? And no im not comparing them but just agreeing with you , they will find a way to get more of your money ..Look at all the drama with not allowing the 6.2 in lower trims for years.

I'm glad they don't make all the extra features 'free' -- because 'free' just means they added the cost but don't show it to us and don't have a way to avoid it --- which means we all have to pay more for out trucks, because they have a bunch of features we don't want or need.

Some threads ****** about 'extra' cost for extra features.

Some threads ****** about all the 'extra' unnecessary stuff that makes vehicles more expensive.

Automakers aren't ever going to make everybody happy.

Their challenge is to make happy the number that makes their business successful -- kinda like every other business.

Barring any troubles on my 2020 TrailBoss, I'll hold on to it until I pay it off, and then hold on to it for longer than that. If it does what my 2012 F150 EcoTurd started doing @100K miles, then I'll dump her for the next shiny thing. Right now I'm at 21K miles and she's doing great!

Being retired I’m lucky enough to drive my all time favorite truck locally. It’s a struggle for the wife to get in one. Cars and SUVs are more efficient and easier to drive on long trips. The next new one will probably not be a truck.

You should take a look at the new F*rd Maverick.

My local Ford dealer sucks. My GMC-Chevy dealerships are great. It just happens years ago my GMC dealer started selling Hyundai’s. We’ve had 4 so far. My grandson drives the first an 05 Elantra GT. My wife drives an Genesis sedan. I had the Genesis coup and Santa Fe. Hyundai coming out with a little pickup. If I was to buy one, it would be that one.

I looked at the Hyundai pickup when we picked up our Santa Fe after warranty work. A lot like the Honda Ridgeline.

That’s the point. I wouldn’t get rid of the Avalanche.
