Happened last Tuesday (December the 14th).  I killed Bambi.  Where I live at is hinting season and deer are moving at all hours of the day.  This happened about 8:00 ish in the evening doing 65mph which was the posted speed.  I'm fine, no airbags were deployed.  Didn't bother searching for the deer as really it would not have made any kind of difference.

Damage seems to mostly be front bumper, air dam, pax side foglight, at least one parking sensor, the black trim piece between the fender and bumper, possibly some brackets and wiring harness's to the parking sensor and foglight.  Hood and fender appear to be unscathed.  Still drives w/no allignment issues, but in a sharp turn the tire will rub on the bumper which was pushed back.

Currently, the truck is in the body shop at the dealership where I purchased it from just a few weeks ago.  Allstate is taking good care of as it's only going to cost me $100.00.  Really sux, but there is nothing that I could have done.20721037_Deerimpact14Dec211.thumb.jpg.b76899cc384ca26d29087a8177285260.jpg1947710154_Deerimpact14Dec216.thumb.jpg.413fd8896b881af00dd1617594126af5.jpg1279401455_Deerimpact14Dec215.thumb.jpg.28133f2ccbf9f3f6b2902e473f13adde.jpg1675286880_Deerimpact14Dec214.thumb.jpg.fc1c8768d64e47a8c8e555c162d28112.jpg744492336_Deerimpact14Dec213.thumb.jpg.811a6c4b6cfec319df23c6930fe670c3.jpg

We've got deer all over here too. Nice to be amongst wildlife but it sure can be problematic for driving.

Sucks to damage a vehicle. I had a car totaled because of this. Loved that car too.

I've got this bumper guard on my truck so it won't be happening to it.

OP, if you constantly dodging wildlife a bumper guard might be a good investment.

Wait...What? Nobody advising you to call a lawyer?

That sucks.  Hopefully you won't have to wait long for the parts.  Glad you hit the deer and didn't panic and swerve it into a ditch....or worse.

That deer definitely didn't make it.  Glad you are OK, sheet metal and plastic can be fixed.

Deer don't get oncoming head lights.

I fed two orphan fawns all summer as their mom was hit right out on the road that runs beside our house.  I had watched them with their mom a few days over a few weeks before she was hit.  The mom was hit when they were really young (large dog tall at the shoulders).  I was pretty sure they wouldn't make it.  I knew they were partially weaned when they started eating the Antler Max but thought at their age without a mom to show them the ropes, no chance.

Most of the fall they were nowhere to be seen and I thought for sure a predator picked them off (or another car, maybe up the road a ways).  About a week ago, I saw them both out back, looking for the Antler Max.  My wife said, "you better go get some of that deer feed and load the tub up, they are back..."

Deer breed like rabbits.

Back in 1976 I’d just bought an 61 super 88 convertible with 40K miles on it. Identical to the one on Full House. I was driving home from visiting my uncle and saw lights in the distance. Turns out the were spotlighting deer. I hit it, passenger side corner. Broke my headlight, that’s it.

That's a damn shame. A very nice car, destroyed by a deer. They should make it illegal for deer to stand on the road, that should solve the problem. Same theory as "gun control".

We live in the Pines, and I loath DEER, nothing but  huge PITA. Glad you are ok. I almost had to change my shorts Thursday @ 4:15AM, bastard jumped out of the woods and landed in front of me, These trucks have great brakes, if it weren`t for the deer jumping again when I layed on the horn, I would have def hit it... Im tired of deer ******, piss, guts, blood, and fur on my rigs...
