2016HC 5.3.  Installed Range AFM Disabler last week, seems to be working as truck stays in V8 Mode. However, I am getting diagnostic reports from the My Chevrolet app now for Engine & transmission, Antilock Brakes, Stabilitrak, Airbag system, and Emission system.  There is no Check Engine light.

As a Constable, when I am serving a summons, I install the Speed Turtle plug and never had a problem (also an ODB port dongle).

Any thoughts? A random spur by the Range?

Yes.  The OBD port must be free and clear to run certain tests and monitors.  The Range being in leaves the computer's monitors in "not ready" state as well.  Lots of insurance monitoring devices do the same thing.

The Range will limit tge ability for Onstare to monitor your truck info as you stated. Also, if you need an annual emissions inspection, you will need to remove it about 100 miles before hand so the ECM can record that everything was ok. No big deal. Happened to me last week, so I just drove it in manual mode so V4 wouldn't come on, for about 50-100 miles & it passed just fine.

Yes it does cause problems. Was it doing this before you added the range?

No, Onstar reporting was excellent.
