After looking at pics of a 24’ LT, it appears the stock halogens nearly identical to the 20-23’ stock halogens. Does anyone else see that? I ask because, if I’m correct, the Morimoto headlights for the 20-23’ could potentially fit. I’m not terribly keen on the stock halogens (and the Morimotos look to fix that issue), but said LT will be at my dealer very shortly and they are estimating 6 months for a factory build.

You are correct that the LT has the same halogen lamps that the previous 23's did. The LT can be had with the LED headlamps but it requires an upgrade package (dont recall which one) or stepping up to the LTZ.

I confirmed this when I ordered my LT All star edition, with someone who has the information. (not the dealer)

They appear to however the part numbers aren't the same as 2020-2023 so something has changed on them.

And that something is?  The electrical connector to the headlight harness.  The 2020-2023 is an 8 pin connector, 2024 uses a 12 pin connector but only 10 terminals so they are wired different as well.

So no, the Morimoto won't be a direct plug and play, they will have to engineer a set for 2024 to match whatever changes have been made.

After I posted that I looked closer at the "Morimoto" lights not realizing they were the entire assy. I thought they were the just the bulbs.

Appreciate this information! Much like the OP, I picked up my 2500hd without the only option missing I really wanted... led headlights.

I can't for the life of me find the 2024 led headlamp part number(s). Can you pass it along? I'll order some once they are available.

Won't fit without swapping the grille.  The LED lamps are designed differently and the grille attaches to them.

Interesting info I just realized. The LTZ/High Country's with the LEDs not only has a different grille and headlight assembly, but also the painted front fascia. So, as @newdude mentioned this won't be as easy of a swap as the 20-23s.

The halogens in the non-led 2024 silverados have the painted part of the front fascia in between the turn signal and low beams. The led 2024s have no painted portion in-between the headlights.

Looks like I'll be doing an HID retrofit over the leds. With all the things needing to be replaced to get the led's, I could see that swap costing well over $4k (headlights, harness, grille, front fascia)

Worth mentioning I did call and confirm with Gen5DIY the harness is in the works and will be available for this upgrade. He's working on the upgrade as we speak.

Different strokes for different folks but I prefer the previous typed out Chevrolet grill to this one shown. Was more unique and in your face.

They should fit but wire harness is different. on our trucks I've just replaced the halogen bulbs with Auxito LED's off of amazon and have been happy with them. I am putting a set of LED's in the 2024 HD next week.
