It seems difficult to find a new truck that has the 22 inch wheels I like. Most of the SLT models  have 20 inch wheels.

Therefore, if I found a truck that had all of my options (except the wheel size), what issues would I have removing 20 inch wheels and add 22 inch wheels?

I had the factory  all black Chevy  wheels on mine , on my 2020 Rally RST and then i put on the trail boss lift and put on 285/50/22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers , plenty of room.

Does it affect the factory speedometer or computer settings moving from a 20 inch wheel to a 22 inch wheel?

Use Tire Rack (or some other) tire calculator and compare the factory tire size with the size you want to run on the 22's.

I just did this to my 2022 refresh LTZ. I used the 2023 GMC Denali 22's and put my center caps in them. These wheels seem to be impossible to find as takeoffs. I got them for $1,300 and my 20" wheels and tires (with 14k miles on them) with 55 miles on them including the TPMS sensors.

I'm debating on getting the bowtie chrome ones or painting my bowtie white to match the truck.

If you stick with the factory 275/50/22 tires then your speedometer will be off by less than 1 mph (you'll be going slower than shown). The 275/60/20 tires that come on the 20" wheels are 33" in diameter and 10.8" wide. The 275/50/22 tires are 32.8" in diameter and 10.8" wide.

If you want an exact 33" tire, you could go with a 33x12.50x22 on the stock wheels. Most tires in that size are an aggressive off road tire and not a highway tire.

Here is where the chart above came from.

22's are not going to ride as nice as 20's.

(less sidewall matters)

It depends. I had the factory 275/60/20 tires and wheels on my truck. I actually like the ride and handling better with the 275/50/22 tires. The smaller sidewall doesn't flex as much as the taller one on the 20" tires. It is all in what you like honestly.

No issues assuming you use the same diameter tire.  Stock 20" are 33" tire, P275/60R20.  Stock 22" use P275/50R22 which is a hair under 33".

I like 22s too. Chrome.

But I like aftermarket wheels better than stock 22s. Day 1

I went with Fuel Mavericks 22x10 +10 offset with Michelin Defender LTX MS 305-45-r22.

Sets the truck apart from everyone else's truck for sure

I put 22's on all my trucks.  Here's my refresh '22 LTZ Z71 with 22's.  No ride difference from my 20's.
