Question

Posted (edited)

So my 2004 gmc Yukon Denali cluster doesn’t work. I checked all the fuses, check relays speedometer is stuck at 32 mph with vehicle on or off. When I try to switch over to my dims, my light shut off completely, and the cluster doesn’t show that my brights are ever on only when the actual light switch is off. None of the gauges work by the way I should include.

Sounds like you've got a wiring problem.

These clusters also contain failure prone stepper motors, so you may have that going on as well. Hard to tell if the cluster doesn't have power, or ground.

Let me add the cluster does light up. All the gauges do have lights In fact my high beam indicator and traction control stays on for majority of the time. But it’s the only indicator lamps that light up. The check engine briefly lights up on a cold start I think but goes off when it actually has started. Here’s another kicker, when I try to change from bright to dim I have no headlights at all they shut off completely unless I go back to bright.

The headlight issue could be as simple as 2 burned out bulbs, or a bad multifunction switch. You'd have to get in there and start inspecting / testing things to be sure.
