Hey guys i had a hid set up that was a 12000k on a 04 silverado with lows and fogs. I had no idea what i was doing. The worst mistake i made picking those  . One of them finally burnt out and i removed them and put my factory lights back in. Here lately, I've been missing the blue-ish color. I was just wondering where a good and trusted site i could purchase them. Thanks again

Blue lighting is worthless. Usable light with any color other than white for headlamps will be reduced. Anything other than white light for headlamps should be avoided.

Well I've had the god awful blue xenon blubs the fake hid bulb and the purple 12000k HID bulbs and i know they dont emit very much light. I'm just going with the looks of it and thinking of getting either 8000k or 10000k HIDS lows and fogs.

hey the best place to get them is ddm tuning. ive had mine in for about a year now and i love them. i have the 8000k there are very bright with a lightish blue tint.

DDM and I have 5K 55W. Have only had them for about 2 months but I love them! BTW, mine are white in color.

I have DDM 55W 4500k kits in my turck and motorcycle. For driveabilty stay within the 4500-6k range. If you like that blueish look go with the 6K's. You will have great lighting with that hint of blue in it. If you want like a pure white then 4500-5k is what you want. With HIDs the lower the "K" the brighter they are. Anything above 6K is more for show, you will get more color than light.

Hey man i've used DDMtuning online and i love their service, quick and easy, and their products are the best i've used so far. i recommend them every time. My setup on my 2010 is 8K 55W for lows and highs, and 6K 35W for my fog lights. I know what its like to be blinded by ridiculous HID's, and my lows are no joke. I don't even like my lights because of how bright they are, they look amazing but i know its dangerous, so as a curtousy i drive with my fog lights everywhere most of the time, unless theres no one coming at me, and my fogs are bright enough and angled perfectly to where i can see everything just fine. As far as your question goes for the ballast, i would just get a whole set from DDM, after shipping the average cost of 1 set is about 60 give or take 10. Here's a pic IMG_0011.jpg The iphone makes them look more blue than they really are.

your going to get mixed reviews about DDMTuning.

some people love them, some people absolutley hate them.

people claim their service is great... up until AFTER you purchase a kit. from there it is all down hill. claims of extremely slow shipping, warranty claims being "lost" in the mail (they "never" received the original parts to replace under warranty), uneven colors (6K bulb on one car, may look like a 8K bulb in another, identical car)

one place i haven't heard anything bad about is Spencers HIDs. the owner lists his personal cell phone number on his website and will answer your call anytime of day/night. his warranty is legit, with a very quick turnaround. his prices are a little more, but i prefer customer service and a good warranty over price anyday.

whatever kit you decide on, GET A RELAY HARNESS! they make the ballasts last longer, and prevent flickering.

:)

haha thanks, ive had to explain it a few times lol.

Also another fun little fact about HIDs is the 3k bulbs have the same light output as the 4.5k the only difference is the 3k is yellow in color. Fact is 3k and 4.5k are going to be the brightest kits you'll get. But 3k kits are mainly for fog lights.

When your head is in front of the headlight all HIDs are going to look super bright but you won't truly see the difference till your driving down a road at night with a 4.5k-6k kit.
