Let my wife drive the truck. She had a fender bender in her minivan the other day and I don't have rental coverage on my policy, so she's driving the truck until her car gets fixed. I'd make her drive my car instead, but she doesn't know how to drive stick and after one attempt to teach her I decided it wasn't in my car's best interest.

Finally replaced all four of my shocks today. Truck rides so much better now! Next is rear gear oil!

Next is rear gear oil!

Ever done it before?

I was concerned when I did mine, heard stories stripped or busted bolts. Then heard more stories of leaks. Mine was a breeze, took me longer to scrap off old gasket than anything else and never leaked. Using safety wire as a "dipstick" makes checking the level much easier.

Drove around some.

Found this on Youtube, thought a few of you might find it pretty entertaining.

This will be my first, looks as though it has a leak or leaked before cause of the oil on the cover, but everything looks clean underneath with no rust anywhere I can see so I'm not too worried.

Scraping off gasket? Just to change the gear oil Walmart and parts stores carry cheap siphon pumps. Probably going to put in some Roal Purple in the next few days myself

I cleaned the MAF sensor and the throttle body on my truck today. Couldn't tell how dirty the MAF was, kind of hard to see but I cleaned it anyway. The throttle bady was really dirty...wowza, black. I sprayed it down really good and took a clean toothbrush to scrub it good. I should note for those who may want to do this that there is special cleaner just for the MAF sensor and a cleaner for the throttle body. I wasn't sure until I researched it. Runs good.

Just drove today through the driving rain.....only the beginning from what they say. With all the rain we've had around here I don't remember when I last washed my truck... :nonod: I think Mother Nature is trying to make up for the rain we didn't get all summer.

Yeah, CRC makes the MAF cleaner, I've been using it for years.

Got Royal Purple in both diffs now. Fresh Aato Trac ii in the transfer case next week(Monday?), at which point every fluid will be fresh or close to it.

Headers to be delivered Tuesday :D. After those are on I'll be close to a break.
