Ran to Chambersburg (about an hour away) to get two tires for the wife's car since the sidewall got blown out of the one on her way home from work Friday.

Got it out of the shed, I think we're done with severe weather for a while. 3 big trees down, part of a roof gone and other stuff blown all over. Looks like I'm having a bonfire this weekend.

Memorial day will be soon. Discount Tire usually has good sales....like $100 off four tires.

 

 

I ordered new Ectsa 4X for the Mazda, price matched Discount Tire Direct and scheduled the day I think the sale starts...friday....So I know they will be in stock when the sale is on.

 

If I'm right, ill get DDT price, the kumho rebate and the DT rebate/discount.

 

 

Sadly I only have one bad balding tire on the 6. 1 is 60%, one is 40%, and one is 30%. And 42k miles on the last 3.

 

One blew at 20k, and I almost never rotated the almost bald one. Figured I would start over. The stock michelins are way overpriced and so 2 new is only a few hundred off a set of the 4x Im getting.

 

To redeem myself from the above paragraph, I have gotten over 55k from the stupid Goodyears on my wifes Corolla with a regular rotation . Should have let them die fast.

Guy called said my power steering pump is in and at tge end of the conversation he said he needed my old pump.. I said I don't have it off yet, he goes well ill need 38$ then I said wtf why and he said I'd get reimbursed when I bring the pump.. I told him never mind keep the pump...

Well I went to the dealer and got the GM paperwork on my truck. It has been in 6 times according to the paperwork. It was purchased in late 03 with 12 miles. And well, I felt I was in heaven...

 

Then I went to Pickup Salvage Co. That place is like Toys 'я' Us to me. Picked these up.

 

Also if your'e military you get a discount at Jegs, so I picked something up there today.

I'm not sure I'd want to do the math. From a 2500hd to a Vmax to this. Okay fine. About 80 a week for the HD times five years $20800. About 80 every ten days for the last six years $17280. So about $38,000 in the last eleven years. Plus road trips. $40,000. Thanks Ryan. I just barfed a little in my mouth.

My wife's 2011 Tahoe with 24,000 miles broke down 7 times in 7 months and they replaced 4 cats. Kept clogging them with raw fuel they claimed. They changed 2 fuel pumps and some other stuff. It broke down #8 and I called the dealer and told them to find a 13 model just like it and traded. Chevy wouldn't offer any help other than repair, towing, and a loaner. I forgot I'm still pisses about that.
