Finally hit the road today. Last minute change, now using the truck to tow ourselves back to Alaska. The wife's Jeep just wasn't going to cut it.

Very nice what did you use to wire it.

I wired the grounds together and attached them to one of the bolts for the trailer plug mount. Then I used a wire tap to connect the two power wires together. From there I ran 14 gauge wire up to the front of the truck and through the firewall. I ran that wire into the switch. Then I ground the switch behind the glove box. Ran a power wire from the red box under the hood to the switch with an inline fuse. Works perfectly. I left the lights on for 20 minutes or so to make sure nothing got hot. Everything is all good. She recently hit 238,000 miles and is doing amazingly well, I think that the differential rebuild even helped with the mpg's! Right now I'm halfway into a tank of what might be the first summer blend of 91 and I've hand calculated 17mpg with mainly "assertive" street use. Compared to averaging 13 before.

Pic from today at sunset.

I miss that place. That lot looks just like South Mountain Park in South Phoenix. Used to love going there at sundown. I can feel the warmth in the pic. It's 51° here right now. :(

I need a place in the Caribbean ...

It's 89 degrees right meow, with a high of 104. I wouldn't mind 40' s or 50's for a few days!

A dry 104° day works for me! I used to love the heat out there. I'm such a wimp when it comes to cold, but heat I can handle.

Balls hot here. I went and got brake cleaner, banjo bolts, and brake fluid. Waiting for rotors to come today. If i didnt have to drive an hour south tomorrow, i would start on the brakes and lines.

All parts are here. Had to unload them from the mail lady's Explorer. Then i had to leave the boxes in my driveway to go get the tractor
