Got an excellent deal on a Diablo inTune i2 through Auto Anything this past Saturday for a total of $319.95, it was delivered today. Updated the tuner and installed the 87 octane tune, disabled AFM and added stiffer shifts. Truck performs so much better with the canned tune. Going to get a custom tune from Lew after I hit the 150+ mark.

Today I got tired of looking at the scratches, wear marks around the driver's door switches and decided to paint the panel.

Just in case somebody on here has this same problem, here's a step by step. Otherwise just skip to the last picture for end results.

First to remove the door handle...

Then the two 10mm screws...

Exposing the scratches even better...

Then pulling the panel out back to front...

Then removing the switch assembly by removing 3 torx screws T15 1.5mm...

Then masking sanding to remove all shine and painting...

Wait for paint to dry then 2 coats of clear coat and re-assemble...

I had a Lew tune, he has great customer service. But, I did a bunch of mods at once so I'm not sure how big of a difference it made by itself.

Office shelving helps keep things organized. 1 shelf is parts and bins, one is oil and work products, and one is cleaners, polishes, paints, and solvents

Next is to repaint wiper arms that have faded and will soon start to rust if I don't stay on top. '' Plastikote Hot Rod Black '' works good for these.

Can't move a specific post to a new topic. Might be able to copy the post. I can try when I get on my PC tonight. How to section would best fit this.

Dropped the rig off at the dealership to have the seatbelt recall fix done, air bag re-programmed and clicking steering wheel looked at.

Ok, you got my attention.....

Clicking steering wheel?? Like when you turn the wheel? And can only hear it inside? I've had that issue too. Dealer greased something that made the inside of the truck smell for a couple of days. After a couple months, the clicking slowly came back. I'd be interested in knowing what your dealership says.

That's exactly what is happening for me. They couldn't get it to replicate, so nothing they would do. Mine only seems to do so when it's really hot. Pretty sure they will try and blame my leveling kit and oversized tires as that was noted on the invoice....

Uh oh. Well, I only have leveling kit, so maybe that will help. And yep, gets worse when its hot

If I could have found the ''How to '' I would have posted there. Don't know if it's because I'm a new comer and don't enough post or I'm just stupid but I looked again and still couldn't find it, maybe I don't have permission yet or something.

Anyway today I repaired a 2003 cluster for a guy from Sussex who's heading for Florida with his RV and needed the Tach and speedometer to work. 2004 GMC HD with only 162000Kms (100,000 miles). He was happy to avoid the stealer on this one,

Then sold one I had for sale on Kijiji for a 2003 Silverado to a guy from Appleton NL, this one was totally refurbished and I LEDed in cool white. It had like 306***Kms.

I go by a rule, unless it's valuable (or sure to be), trash it when it's been untouched for a few months. This doesn't make my wife too happy. I clean out her car every year and find 11 month old receipts for random stuff under the seats), so there is hardly anything in my garage besides tools. I have thrown away crap she said she would need in a few months, 6 months later after it was never used, years ago, and it's never come up. Edited by SnakeEyes
