This year I did the same - got new ones on both my 3-season, and winter wheels. Nothing like new rubber.

These Hankooks stick like glue! Don't even squeal when pushing the 6k lb. truck to it's limits. Won't be doing much off-roading with them, but for the majority of what I do, they work.

Winter gas is here ethanol percentage went up from .39% last month to .8% this month according to my trucks ECM data. I hate that stuff.

Bought new Batteries for 2010. Duracell Platinum AGM. 760CCA

Sounds expensive. Just put 2 batteries in my '09 almost a month ago. Last time I had to buy a battery it had longer a warranty . I guess a lot changes in 4 or 5 years.

Here's a picture of the finished product. I took the first screw out of the gas block and checked for fore-aft alignment upside down. Then I marked the block, and rotated 180. I tightened down the set screws to make imprints in the finish, and levelled the barrel in the vise off of the flat block bottom. Removed the block, hole punched in the imprints, and made the first set of dimples with a very small bit. After that, I stepped up to the final size.

All in, less than an hour. I took longer than many, since I set the depth stop on the drill press for each bit. Not taking any chances on going too deep!!!

Finale had time to hand wash and vacuum my truck. One thing I hate is the black interior on my 08 GMC. What do you guys use or do to get the lint and dirt off the black seats?

Towed about 5k with the truck for the first time ever and was very pleased with its performance. Also got some Peak snow beast wipers at Sam's club for the winter. Going to see how they work. The Bosch wipers I have now chatter like crazy.

Hooked the boat to the truck for the first time since changing the receiver and related parts. Trailer and truck look level with the head in the highest position w/o flipping the shank over. I guess I'll see how it handles there before moving the head again. Got the safety chains hooked up to the right length. Also did a quick test of the surge brakes and the backup solenoid. They seem to be working for the little bit we backed up and pulled forward.

We had planned on pulling it to my house to mount new tires but ended up helping out on a friend's truck. That thing is purdy and sounds mean, even if it is way too lifted for my tastes. Forgot to take some pics of it.

Other buddy also got a trailer so we messed with the trashed hub/suspension and tried straightening the metal frame pieces.

Advance Auto Parts is having a blowout sale on Havoline oil, they are discontinuing it (at least at the store I went to). I got 19 quarts of high mileage and 16 quarts of full synthetic, all Dexos approved and all 5w30 for under $100 after tax. Almost bought all the regular 5w30 too lol

Nice - thanks for the heads up.

Might have to stockpile some of that, even though my local Advance store drives me absolutely nuts with incompetence.
